Yo, yo what you need is a good story writer like with all good games like Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, and Chrono Trigger, yo. I'd be glad to lead my services to ya. But I would recomend to have the character set up at the beginning that way people can customize their characters before using them. And I'd like to insist a class system between a strong melee, a strong magic user, a Strong range user, a balance character, and a misc character that progresses entirely different from the others with its own strengths and weaknesses unlike the others. I would also like to add a very slow progressive leveling that starts at 30 and works upward to 10000 or 100000 depending on how far you would the game to end and more stats. Like accuracy, will, wisdom, endurance, and strength. A game with few stats will not be able to be a good one. You know not challening enough. You need to have an actual leveling system that progresses with the character instead of a Gauntlet style stat market. You could have it like Diablo where you can customize your progression instead of having a random or prejudge leveling like most RPGs. I would also like to add an AP and MP factors. AP for dishing diverse attacks like Kain's (Final Fantasy IV (US 2) aerial attack and throwing stars. An MP factor for dishing spelling and energy attacks. OF coase some energy attacks like will require AP usage the Vampyric Strike or whatever that was. And I'd like to finally add a potion system to restore HP and MP, and using sheilding to restore AP (kind of like Legend of Dragoon's except with AP) and at last more diverse number of music, one for regular battles, one for small bosses, one for later bosses, and one for the last boss or next to the last boss.
