He got a TON of songs and uploaded them since 2008. Check him out!
It looks like he had something big going in 2010 and before but after that, people kind of forgot about him.
I wanna nominate myself...is that dick-ish?
Anyway: History....Um, I've been making music since 2008. I didn't start taking it seriously until about 2011, when I released my first album. But to this day it has almost no downloads. Since then I've released an EP, and am working on my second full length album..
I use Reaper as a DAW. And I use a mixture of Gearbox, FL and a couple various VST's.

:D Well, it did say we can nominate your self :)
No matter how great my infamy may be, I will always be an underdog.
So yes, I nominate myself. I'm not going to even post a link to my stuff. I respect the rules of this thread, and I'm way too much of an underdog anyway.
I normally record myself with a handheld video camera, upload the songs to youtube, then use a website that converts youtube videos to .mp3 files so I can post them here.
I am a true underdog.
A one man wolf pack.
What u need to do is try to buy a nice microfoon. if your recording quality is better then we are able to make a nice song if u want. I think that the sound quality and some extra stuff like some drums etc really makes the difference in your song. because the vocals are pretty good only they are bad recorded just like the gitar. i think that if u do that that more people are gonna like it and that u are not gonna stand long on that underdog list ;)
Self nomination ( shameless :-p )

I have played music my entire life with a variety of instruments- but my primary for most of my active musical life has been bass. I am nominating myself for my chiptune work however... in which I am just starting out. Music programming has always been something I have been interested in but never really pursued until now.
My journey into newgrounds started out as a joke, I wrote the song in my profile called "vampire party" basically saying something around the lines of if i write some poppy trash on guitar pro everyone will love it. I actually found the community to be pretty critical and helpful though... and that evolved into writing "The Time machine" which i was a bit more proud of but I felt like the instrumental limitations of guitar pro were holding me back-- so I downloaded Famitracker and began learning the program.
Since then I have gotten my passion back for composition and have been trying to get my work heard. All of the songs recorded have been written in no more than two dedicated sit-downs - normally in a 24 hour period. My goal as a musician composing these pieces is to get them used in Games. As long as I can remember I have always wanted to compose music for games. I hope you guys dig my music, my heart is in it!
note: i used to dump my trash here from an old band, (goofy improvs we didnt use) so please dont mind the 2010 submissions :-p
..
I rock, and I think you will think so to!
Check out my songs.
Just started NG and I'm quite happy with all the creativity flowing here.
Very inspiring!
I will only submit solo arrangements here, things not made for band and liveclub performances.

Sry, blasted through the rules...
I use Logic Express to make these songs with a "duet" form apogee to record voices and guitar/bass.
I write in many a genre but will mainly post instrumental music here, intended for movies, videogames or some such.
I have had a 2 year hiatus from writing this kind of music and started up again one week ago.

There are quite a lot of people who think they're "underdogs". 7:-7
Hopefully this thread isn't becoming a second audio advertisements thing..
Too bad the majority of those who nominate themselves actually aren't underdogs.

Excuse me, I don't me to be an ass here or anything, but do you even know the meaning of an underdog?
How the hell can you be an underdog, if you're here less than a month.
So you just came to newgrounds and suddenly you're expecting to have thousands of fans.
I totally agree with the guy above, this became another audio ad thread long time ago.

Hehe. Well your music is actually quite good. I vouch for you.
I would like to nominate myself for the misc category. I've been uploading since 2006, generally making very cheesy Video-Game-esque songs, and some jazz, rock, and classical. I'm not the best at sonic textures or soundscapes but I'm a melody driven composer and I'd like to think that my tunes are those that could easily get stuck in your head. I use EastWest and Kontakt instruments plus Massive and more recently my new best friend FM8. I've had my music in a handful of games here on newgrounds, and once I made it to number 5 on the old, best songs ever list.
My basis for being an underdog is simply how long I've been at this, my music may not be the most appealing to most people due to its general simplicity but I'm confident in the songs I've uploaded here. I have 66 fans, which makes me feel like king, but I don't know if thats enough to qualify me as a real newgrounds hit.
I would like to nominate two guys here. I feel both have great potential in them as classical artists. Please have a look!
What up everyone, I go by Phonix and im here to.. nominate myself (how pathetic..)
Haha, nahh but in all seriousness, you gotta do what you gotta do, and right now i need some views!
Anyway, Im 16 years old at the moment, and i have been rapping since 8th grade.
Although, back then I sucked ass, i think its safe to say that i have grown quite drastically.
The first rap song that i have ever heard was "Mockingbird" by Eminem. Eminem has played a gigantic role in my life, his white ass got me hooked on Hip Hop! Now im a Hip Hop Junkie.. thanks man.
From the birth of my hobby to this day, I have been inspired by a handful of great MCs of the past.
I make Old School Hip Hop Joints.
If you were to ask me who my favorite rapper is heres what i wold say:
"Damn man, I got like 10 favorite rappers!"
But if i had to choose 2, I would say Lord Finesse and Big L.
I am also an Asian Jazz Junkie, because jazz is amazing.
If your into more Modern Hip Hop peep this!
The software and equipment i am currently using is FL studio, Audacity, Windows Media Player, Freemake Audio Converter, CAD u37 USB Microphone, and Skull Candy earphones.
I would very much appreciate it if you gave me a chance and clicked that link.
It means alot, if you took the time to write a comment and even reached out to rate my track(s).
And i think that concludes my summary.
Thanks to those special few that took the time to read this long piece of shit. You will be rewarded greatly (if you are a believer of karma).
Ive got a Mixtape in the works, if ya dig what ya hear keeps those earholes open for the release date!
As the only Pirate Metal artist on NG I think I'm criminally underrated. XD
Pirate metal song, in the same style as Alestorm
Hey check out my music! Its guitarlicious or something.... Pirate Metal! | Rock with guest Female Vocalist
Hey guys, in case you haven't noticed - even though nominating yourself is allowed, it tends to have a negative effect on your reputation. Make good music, be active, people will notice.
I have never actually read this topic before. I thought that people just posted their own name and thought it was kind of a pointless thread. But I never really thought about the fact you can suggest other people C:
Benjamin makes some great orchestral/cinematic music!

Hey guys, my name is Zeb Frinar. I think I'm perfect for this list.
Since i started making music back as early as 2002, I've always felt like The Underdog
What does some kid from the suburbs know about making hip hop beats? Needless to say, a lot of people didn't think that I would stick to wanting to make this form of music and many people still don't exactly know how many hours i've spent in countless bedrooms sitting in front of DAWs trying to make the best sounding stuff with the lowest possible budget.
In 2009 I went to an Audio Engineering school in NYC and really learned how to mix properly and understand the overall tonality of musical recordings.
I spent the next 3 years of my life playing on my MPC 1000, cutting up samples of music from the 30s,40s, and 50s and turning them into hip hop beats. I was so amped about this project that I kept it under tight wraps, only showing my friends my stuff directly off the MPC 1000.
Unfortunately for me, I was robbed at gunpoint in my home and my very most prized possion, my MPC 1000 was stolen. All the material I had worked on was lost as well.
I was crushed. All that music was gone forever and now I had to start from scratch.
That's when I bought my NI Maschine, and started making the music that I now release as Zeb Frinar.
I now do live sound for a professional wrestling company, CHIKARA (www.chikarapro.com) and occasionally make some of the Entrance themes for the wrestlers.
I am proud of the work I've been doing but I feel like I haven't been able to get people to really listen. I feel like this War to get heard will never end, but I hope that some of you will listen to some of my music, enjoy it and let me know what you thought.
Thanks,
Zeb
