Alright, i don't know where to really start off but ill give it a try.
I'm pretty new to newgrounds i suppose. I've been a member for sometime but I don't really come on that often because I get discouraged when no one ends up seeing anything I've made.
But in other news, my name is Tony. I live in the United States and "eye lyke teknow muzick" as me and my friends put it. I've liked the genre for sometime. However, about four years ago I was recording some music for my band (Pop-Punk) when all of a sudden I stumbled across Midi functions in my pro-tools 8 software. I investigated it and became entranced with the whole concept. The fact that you could create techno music with a certain cord plugged into a controller and what not intrigued me. I messed around with the stuff for somewhere around two years and tried different programs and all and now I feel I have finally found my place in Ableton live with a certian genre that's called Electro House.
Now, just because it may be one of my favorite genre's doesn't mean that it's the only kind of music i produce. I also enjoy Drum and Bass and subtle trance here and there. This is not the case for my music though.
When i create my music I create what comes to mind when I first sit down. For example there's a song somewhere on my profile page that insists that I derived an idea from the prodigy and deadmau5. It's all true, that week I was probably into the early prodigy/1981 deadmau5 songs. It's pure inspiration from the music i listen to every day of my life.
Now that I've explained my background, I am going to nominate myself. If you notice on my profile, I have a single song that has over 90 listens, and it has zero reviews and zero response to it. In addition to the negative progress of this song, it has been on the portal for a good four months. On the other hand, the recent song I put up called "I Fail" got some pretty decent reviewing on it in the first 10-20 minutes of it being up. Shortly after I thought it might be a breakthrough, it was zero voted.
Maybe I'm just not understanding or I'm not caught up for this type of work but I still feel like I should at least attempt to nominate myself for the underdog.

well alot of people on this thread actually nominated themselves dude. I personally haven't listened to the dudes stuff but I can't blame the guy for at least trying to get some exposure. thats what everyone is trying to do on this thread either for themselves or for other artists on here.

this will be the end of us and everyone on newgrounds if we can't at least get past the fact that some people aren't as good as others. still, i praise the guy for at least trying.

I'm going to nominate myself not because I'm awesome and think everyone should hear my awesome music but because I'm just getting started in trying to actually write music and would like some feedback. It's kinda depressing when your song falls off the recent list with 0 votes, not to mention reviews! :(

I'm a student in Southern California not studying music, but I do have some limited musical training. I use Logic Pro for my music. I try not to have a style because my goal is to goal is to write music for games, which means I want to stay flexible to the style/mood of the project I'm working with, but I'm definitely NOT yet another techno/trance person. Plenty of those around, I've gathered.

It's understandable if I'm not selected since what I have on NG so far is pretty sparse, but I'd appreciate the consideration!

Applying MYSELF for the underdog-list.

I'm an EDM/House-Producer, currently searching for a label. There's also a sideproject called "Stoerphunk". This sideproject is mainly for ambient, chillout and experimental stuff.

I think my music is quite good, but i lack of some fame and publicity (as you can see from the low listen-count).
Living in germany and producing digital music for about 6-7 years now.

SO catchy. The drops are exhilirating, and the one at 3:00 [NO SKIPPING.] is too much fun

On the whole, Fantomenk has an untethered, jealousy-inducingly creative style, flowing from one musical idea to the next without looking back while doing it so smoothly and entertainingly that it never seems unbalanced or rambling. It's just too much fun to listen to.

Some absolutely jaw-dropping Ambient/IDM here. Beautiful melodies and harmonies. Awesome instruments (I'm in love with that piano) and the mixing is top-notch aswell. This definitely deserves more attention than it's gotten so far.

Got some progressive trance here aswell. I do find it a little generic but the production quality is amazing and this isn't the finished product either so it's only going to get better. Again, great instruments, lovely melodies and a great atmosphere too.

In short, it's apparent this guy has some serious talent and it's worth keeping an eye on him for his future submissions.

I'm gonna be brave and nominate myself for the Hip Hop(Oldschool) genre.

I haven't seen that listed, but that's where I post my music.

I really think that if I had more exposure, I would get lots of great reviews as I think I contribute a different by great, well thought, melodic sound to the hip hop community.

My style is a combination of using video game samples, video game synths, and different types of samples for a different sound.

My biggest peeve is that a lot of people get 10's for music that doesn't have a lot of melody, and mine does.

Melodies should ALWAYS be in a song, bottom line...

This one's for the dubstep fans out there...

Vaski styles here. Now, I know some people would consider this generic dubstep. While that may be, some of us appreciate a song that drops like a fucking bomb and leaves you wide eyed with a smile from ear to ear and I think this song is a perfect example of that. When it drops and that sub kicks in, I start smiling and I can't fucking stop. Sure, this mightn't be one of the most out-of-the-box dubstep tracks out there but you have to appreciate the mixing, the composition and the insanity of it.

Here's one that sounds a bit different to your usual dubstep track. Evil feel much like the first track I linked with a heavy atmosphere. Interesting bassline with some whacked out voices and other.. odd sounds.

To sum it all up, if you like dubstep and you like lots of sub bass and weird sounds and shit then PR0FAN1TY's tracks are for you.
