I really didn't want to self nominate myself on here, but i'm left with no choice

I've been here since 2005, I'm 16 years old and been making music for
past few years. I'm not a big music man, i just do it because i enjoy it
I don't make any type tecnho, R&B or stuff like that.

I make rock, Punk, and then other genres using pop sounds. Almost
all my songs use vocals and i record ALL the instruments for each song.
Except when it comes to strings, but guitar, drum, piano and voice is
all done by me. It takes a long time to finish a song, i'm only a ONE MAN band
aha.

I Only get reviews when i first post them up and i get nice feedback. My biggest
problem is zero bombers or people who don't like my genre and like techno.
I Had 3 big songs with more then 7 reviews. But that has dwiddled down and
i never get featured, or used, or anything. And i wanna get my music out there
as much as possible.

So if you could please just give a listen to my music and see if i'm elgible for underdog
that would be great :)

I don't know if he's been nominated yet, but I think nathanallenpinard deserves a nomination for his classical tracks.

Self Nomination.

I didn't want to be someone to Nominate myself, But after looking over my Audio Submissions, I think I need some people to notice me, and push me and the guys along. So any reviews, ratings, whatever, would be much appreciated you guys!

About me? I'm currently 20 years old, I work in property management, But work only 4 full shifts a week. Basically because I was only recently signed, and because I have a lot to plan at this stage of my life. I use FL Studio 8, Audacity, Reaper, And Online Orchestra. I only spent money on two of them programs, The free ones are just as backups for safety.

I've been playing with music, basically forever now. And Zelda, Well when it comes to video games, That's the love of my life, And the music within is brilliant. Thats why we decided to pursue Zelda themes music. I think its a good idea :)

PROFILE HERE.

I'll respond to any reviews made on my submissions!

Yeah, I get that. I stated that I didn't really want to, But I saw how many views, and reviews I had and it was pretty damn poor. And lets face it, The Audio Adverts Thread isn't as effective as it once was.

Dxm is an interesting experimental artist that is challenging himself to try new things. Its not just the same old same old VG RMX's with him its expression. One of the only things I have advocated on this website is originality. My cause was solidified with my earlier songs which represented abstract thoughts feelings and emotions. DXM Electronica is excellent and gets the job done the way sound was supposed to in a new way.

I'd like to nominate cutting-christ. An incredible trance artist, that is way underrated. He's even got a track on Castle Crashing the Beard, so it really surprises me that he is so unknown.

I am not retarded.

"SELF NOMINATION"

Hi People!!!

I'm 24, from Graz, the capital of Styria (which lies in Austria), married, father
and i'm now 2 years at NG.
I mostly do Videogame Remixes, or to be more precise, i'll do "ReMade's" which means i take the original chiptune of a game, convert it, and re-edit it so it sounds like it was made today (Bionic Commando Rearmed gave me the idea). I also made some original pieces in 2008, but my free-time won't let me nowadays, sadly!!! I'm planning to make a ReMade CD when a few more tracks are done!!
You can now listen to a variety of songs, since there are now 45 submitted!!!
I care a lot about Reviews, but don't get a chance to get some...
(Audio-Artists on NG are poor People if not known in the Flash-Portal...)

I never considered myself an underdog, but i seem to meet all your criteria, which was kind of shocking somewhat to me.

But maybe it helps to get attention here on NG!!! I hope so....

Thanks for reading,

Greetings,
THS1984

Self Nomination

Hate to do it, but I'm not popular enough to have someone else nominate me.

I like to think I've got a varied strain of styles, and my submissions so far reflect that I feel.

Advertising now as my Magnum Opus, The Dark Opera is in the eleventh hour, and I desperately want people to hear it all. It's a set of 14 tracks, with a story behind them that hopefully is conveyed in one manner or another.

Tears have literally been shed in its production, and sleep has definitely been sacrificed. But finally June will see it unleashed and I would love for it to have a little exposure.

My previous submissions are complete shite in comparison to Dark Opera, so if you like those, definitely stick around for something a LOT better.

About myself: 22, English and currently working in pensions. Use skateboarding and video games as a release. But nothing else brings me more joy than someone telling me they enjoyed my music.

I've put a lot of info about myself in my profile so feel free to read up on me, I won't take up more space here.

Thanks.

Okay so here goes

I havn't really been on this site for all that long, but i've been listening to the stuff from the audio portal for a long time... only just posting some of my DnB compositions earlier on this year.

I may only be starting out ( been doing this for three months now ) but I really do feel that some of my stuff could eventually at the standard ( in around 6 months ) as to which you hold up the other more noticable audio submittors... just asking you to check me out, judge fairly and just to remember that everybody has to start out somewhere, and this is where i chose to do it.

thanks for reading

He's an incredible Trance Artist. I think he's a bit well-known on YouTube, but I think he deserves to have people here know about him.

It sure is self-advertisement around here.

I also chuckled at the notion that the self-advertisement thread was once effective, as I see that as a stretch (being fairly new). The problem is that everyone just posts their songs and only cares about getting feedback on their stuff as opposed to seeking others out. I try to post something substantial in there to you know, start up a small conversation (conversations are the easiest way to get someone to listen to your music), but they get ignored under a flood of NEW SONG LISTEN AND RATE PLZ's.

Anyhoo

Syntrus, nathanallenpianrd, ender1, and a few others as well.

I try to review as much as I can across certain things (usually through the Advertisement thread), but I don't always get the chance. However, these guys have stuff that is pretty good but overlooked a lot.

That sounds like a majority of us, though.

I really don't want to contribute to make this a self-nomination thread but I feel I am a huge underdog...

I am 13 years old and have been writing music for a little over a year. People usually see my age and then think my music is garbage but it doesn't matter how old you are, it matters how good your music is right?

I am currently writing music for an xbox live arcade game, a flash game, and a film score for a product that will be sold:
http://www.creatingfilm.com/

Half of my songs are not on newgrounds yet because they have not been released with the film score product.

However, I just uploaded one of the songs from the product to see what people think of it. (it is supposed to be background music)

So please check out my page and my audio and consider me as an underdog...
Thank you for your time.

I think one of the most under rated artists is definitely LoudCore.
He has an amazing ability and its going unnoticed.

He has a truly unique ability and its shocking he is being over looked.

He makes high quality DnB and amazing Industrial songs.

He should really have a butt load of fans, but he doesnt. He has had songs in a bunch of flash games, songs playing in over 25 clubs around the world, and has songs featured in youtube videos that get more that 500,000 views.

Some of his really good songs are:

I'm not sure how much this will help his popularity, but it would really awesome if you guys would take the time to listen to this guy. He is truly amazing and deserves some recognition.

Again, LoudCore is an amazing artist that doesnt deserve to be overlooked by the Audio Community.

Thanks!

Self Nominations

I think there should be a rule that if your going to nominate yourself you should at least nominate someone else first. It's been pretty ridiculous... this is turning into the "Advertisements Thread" part 2.

Well I can understand it to a certain degree - When I come to NG I've gotten a very select few authors (Music/Flash) that I follow, the rest is more a case of casual browsing, so if you asked me to name an Underdog who'd be deserving of getting some limelight, I'd be stumped for a name.

Then to follow the above point, I look at my own stuff - 10 tunes uploaded of varying genres and styles and to be quite honest I'd be lucky if it gets listened to all that much, nevermind the fact that (with exception to two tracks) they never get more than 0-5 reviews after being up for over a year ^^

Don't worry, though, I'm not going to follow the whole self-nomination bandwagon as I could just spend a bit more time going through the awesome work from the hard-working music creators/community right here and find more deserving names out there... Just I don't exactly have lots of time and I just keep falling into the trap of checking my own work, checking the work of some of the popular users, then sodding off to get working on other things :/

Point is - It's a lot easier for people to just point themselves out than it would be to find, or make themselves aware, of others deserving of it. I can't name anyone because most of my favourites list are quite popular.

Yeah, I think that's a lot of the reason why it's slowly being abandoned. I'll probably try to get something together again eventually, but I can't promise anything soon at all.

I'd like to nominate Groat.
He makes Electro-Industrial songs. The quality of his songs is very high, almost professional sounding. His songs are pretty experimental.
Some of his songs:

Also, i wasn't really sure if i should nominate him, because some of his songs have a pretty high number of downloads. But the number of listens is most of the time less than the number of downloads and he doesn't gets much reviews, so i figured i should nominate him anyway.
Now go check out his songs!
