i think hillary clinton should be president, then she could screw a secret service agent and see how bill likes it.
for the post above, affirmative action is a bad thing, its basically discrimination with a nicer name. instead of being equally fair to all groups u are now discriminating against a group (usually white males). it can lead to i stress can inferior service or even dangerous. imagine a fire fighter group. to allow more women to be highered the standards must be lowered since they arent preforming as well as the males, that means lower test scores or longer times in physical tets, whihc mean they may not be able to do the job as well as that man that just got denied. look at nursing, over abundance of women, why not put affirmative action into play there? higher more men and less women? oh ya thats right, womens rights group, how about more white ppl in mac's milk? oh ya thats right minority rights group. hey how come there isnt a white men rights group? i mean some of them are in political office but hey we need another voice too.

because it bases stuff on the color of their skin...
the 14th amendment, is suppose to take care of all of that...
of course by that theory gay civil unions would be allowed... BUT since they are gay we dont care...
im for all people to be treated the same...
although even with affirmative action blacks are still the most unemployed... 12% last i heard...

there probably will never be a "perfect leader".......someone will always find a fault in whatever person is our leader and then they'll try to amplify that as much as they can, it's called a two party system;)

The perfect leader just has to be Gandalf.
Don't you agree?

Gandalf would never do anything as president. He never did anything to help out Frodo and his friends in Lord of the Rings. I mean, he's a fucking wizard, he's got all this power, but when they get attacked by orcs and shit, and never does anything. And the fate of the world was at stake! Fucking Gandalf.

Jello Biafra
Michael Moore
Noam Chomsky
Howard Zinn
"If I were the president, I could stop terrorist attacks against the United States in a few days. Permanently. I would first apologize to all the widows and orphans, the tortured and impoverished, and all the many millions of other victims of American imperialism. Then I would announce, in all sincerity, to every corner of the world, that America's global interventions have come to an end, and inform Israel that it is no longer the 51st state of the USA but now -- oddly enough -- a foreign country. I would then reduce the military budget by at least 90% and use the savings to pay reparations to the victims. There would be more than enough money. One year's military budget of 330 billion dollars is equal to more than $18,000 an hour for every hour since Jesus Christ was born. That's what I'd do on my first three days in the White House. On the fourth day, I'd be assassinated."

Thats because he's only helping when they really really nead help.
Just like in The Hobbit when he thorched the vargs.
Or when he fought the Balrok.
He helped the city of Gondor as well as the people who sought shelter in Helms Deep.
So he does help

First of all, there's no such thing as a perfect leader. No matter how hard he/she could try to please everyone, they'll end up pissing off almost half on the population. Domino effect. You can't change one thing to make one group of people happy without that changing something else that'll piss some others off.
Anyway, affirmitive action is completely ridiculous. I'm a white male, and while A.A. could potentially hurt college chances, that's not why I'm against it. At least, not the only reason. It IS discrimination. It actually encourages employers/schools to choose people based on ethnic backrounds, and that's just wrong. So much for equality, huh?

Were you born in America? Cause if you weren't you can't be president. It's a law...sorry if I crushed your world-domination-by-stealing-the-leadership-of-another-country-style dream. Happens, man.

Lol. I don't think that Howard Zinn could convince enough rednecks that he wasn't a communist, based on his critical writings of US history. And William Blum doesn't seem to pick up on the fact that we really don't treat Israel like a state, and part of the success of this country is due to having a strong military. If we didn't invest so much in it, just think how many more soldiers would be dead, and how many more innocent civilians would be killed because we couldn't afford as many precision weapons.

George Bush is a great president. He's had to deal with terrorist attacks and a whole war and he is still doing the job well (I know alot of you will disagree with that, but it asked who I thought would be a good leader). If you interviewed every American alive, you could probably find a better president than Bush, but that wont happen and Bush is doing the Job and he is doing it well.
I've covered wars, ya know.

Out of all of those, Biafra would probably be the best choice. He has some great policy ideas, like creating a maximum wage, and allowing homeless people to sleep in buildings abandoned for tax write-off purposes. He's a better public speaker than the rest, and is the only one that really has experience in politics (he ran for mayor of SF in 1979, and won 3% of the vote, he also ran for president in the Green Party primaries, naming Mumia as his running mate).
Michael Moore's speaking style seems too fake to be able to convince anyone. If you saw him giving his speech @ the University of Denver on the Bowling For Colombine DVD, his wannabe emotionally-charged tirade really didn't seem like it could sway too many people on issues. His campaign ads would be fucking tight, though.
Yeah, Jello's platform for running for mayor of San Francisco also included holding auctions for high-ranking city government positions, setting up a board of bribery to handle liquor licenses and building codes, banning automobiles in the city limits and forcing businessmen to dress in clown suits. He finished 4th out of 10 candidates. Not too bad.
Unfortunately, if any one of my perfect candidates became president, they'd be shot. I'm sure of that. Especially due to their anti-gun platform.

I may be a white male but here's how i come to my opinion. Afimative Action was good when it first began. It was nessecary when people other than white guys were rejected because of their not being white guys, but now....it just sort of becomes reverse racism. I've never been rejected because of it but when you look at it, it basically says other people need something to help them out to receive placement at a job. They become part of a quota. And it is even degrading to be let in due to tht circumstance. It seems that rascism is dying out, at least where I am. and in that atmosphere why should there be a quota for anything. It should all be based on personal merit, not your race. and AA discriminates based on ethnicity and race. good try though.
