Crysis for the PS3, not 360

"Even before the PC version released, rumours of a PS3 conversion of the stunning Crysis (developed by Far Cry creators Crytek) were rife, and not far off the mark if insiders at the studio are to be believed. The game looks to be a port of the PC original plus some extra modes and features, a kind of Crysis 1.5. If they go through with that, I'll have to borrow my sister's PS3 and try that out.

For now, I'm not going to touch it with a 10 foot pole on my computer. I have a 30" monitor. If I'm going to get Crysis, I'll want to play in the full 2560x1600 to the max. That'd require two or three 8800 Ultras in SLI. I'm going to get that type of computer soon anyway.

Crysis is only worth buying for this mod.

So it's not worth getting for PS3, even if it does work at about £7000 cheaper, since you don't need to buy a supercomputer to run it.

No, Crysis isn't just about the graphics, its not a linear gameplay game, unlike every other FPS (Halo, all of the cods, Half Life (To an extent), admittedly, it does get linear where the Aliens come in, but you don't feel cheated because of this.

im sure crysis will be good on the ps3, but you'll still need to blow money on a hi-def tv. and even then it'll prolly cause the downfall of many people ps3's with the strain it will prolly put on it.

PS3's don't generally break, that's the other console. Anyways, if the PS3 can handle Killzone 2 (which I'm assuming it will since it's a First-Part title and they know their limitations), it can handle Crysis. We haven't really seen what the PS3 can handle, since there hasn't been a game that has caused it problems. I would bet that it can handle Crysis.

Also, high-def tvs are cheap now and it's not that big of a deal. Most PS3 owners have one already anyways.

Crysis is a great game though. I can play Crysis on Highest settings with no lag using that size of a monitor and a single nVidia GeForce 8800GT

so i dont know where you're pulling your facts from.
and killzone 2 isn't out yet, no-one knows what the final game will look like and you can't believe everything saying it game footage.

Well, considering the E3 footage was in-game, I'm pretty confident it will look at least that good, if not better.

The PS3 won't break. Besides, the entire TV channels will have to go High Def by 2009 in the USA. Apart from that, Blu-ray was the format war winner, and the PS3 is among the cheapest Blu-Ray players.

Thankfully, my PC laughs in the face of Crysis. I Don't have a PS 3, but if I had to pick a console
(Or tard-box as I like to call them) that would probably be it. The 360 wouldn't have a hope at crysis. It'd probably have to stripped down for the PS 3.
