Is this skillful art... 2008-01-16 23:31:47 Reply

...or just stupid?

I did a freehand of this writing, then I did a better, straighter version using my Paths tool. The straight one is on top, and the freehand is on the bottom. Is it at all skillful that I can do this? I didn't do any erasing, I just visualized the letters in my mind then made the shadows. I'm not sure if it's even art that deserves to be in the Art forum, but what do you guys think?

Yes, I did the first four letters of my name.

I'm way too fucking smart for my own good. I'm able to just see the letters in my mind and imagine shadows coming off of them.

It's not particularly skillful as that sort of stuff is pretty much prerequisite for anyone artistically minded but its not stupid as you can do it...

hate to rain on your parade but its not all that hard, my boy jack was using that as a handstyle a year or so back, not to innovative, sorry
