Im more worried about what happens once I have it.
Most of the programs I have won't run on Ubuntu and I've never played much with boot menus or anything. I wouldn't know how to make it run along side windows. And if I dont like it, how do I get rid of it?
You go to their website, download the windows installer, and press go. On turning on your PC you'll then just choose which OS to boot into.
Hell system requirements change based on OS too.
But what happens to my programs? And my files? A new OS is a big deal.
Your Windows install is entirely uneffected. Ubuntu runs in it's own partition, you decide how much of your HDD it gets.
