Before l start, let me also say, about the rocket without splash damage: the rocket will explode, but only if it makes contact with an enemy player...TF2 is not a realistic game anyway :/
You can't trade the uber-usefulness of the shotgun for just 20 health, and let's not talk about that jacket..that makes it unfair for demos and soldiers fighting a jacket-wearing soldier..kinda like the fire-retardant suit...stuff that protects you just from one or two classes would be terribly unbalanced...yes, l know, you're gonna say "WUD ABOUT TEH RAZURBUCK?"..well, that's anothing thing, scoped snipers are just 100% helpless against spies, and some fail to notice the stab even WITH the RB on....then again, spies can still heashot them.

Hey, I got Photoshop CS4 Trial (going to get the real one soon), and made my first image! I had this idea a long time ago: a TF2 related Lolcat image. Took me one and an half hour to make, and I'd really like your opinions.

Then what. An idea for soldier has to be prototype because he is OVURBALANCED. It needs smth that makes him better for some classes and that makes him worse for others. And do not say that this should not happen, because spies are incredibly inefective against pyros.
Well then, another idea is instead of the shotgun a carbine that does crits from behind but makes the soldier 5% slower after firing. Smth called backgun or smth. Is that good idea?

I was playing badwater on Maget Engie. No biggie.
Some guy finds Tough Guys Toque. Cool.
10 minutes later, he finds another Tough Guys Toque. What? How could this happen?
Then, he finds Stainless Pot.
And that's when it began.
The time known as Hatocalypse.
Fancy Fedora, two other hats to some guy at the same time, 20 hats later I found Tough Guys Toque, some guy found three (!!) hats at once.
In total, there we more than 40+ hats found in badwater.
I don't know what happened, but jesus christ, it was a bloody mess.
Longrat extended the map in hopes of finding more hats. He himself found Master's Yellow Belt and Texas Slim's Dome Shine by the way.
There we like one or two hats after he extended, then it stopped.
40+ hats in about 15 or 20 minutes.

I tried it. It says I need to dominate someone. Then I kept on refreshing the page and it took me somewhere else. I signed up and it said something like: Success! You will receive you new headgear soon! Then I tried again to make sure it worked and it said 'an error occured, we might be out of hats.' I tried again and it said 'Sorry, we're out of hats.
Now I'm on the edge of my seat because I don't know if I'll get one or not.

Damn Valve for doing this while I was being social for once, but kudos for not being complete dicks with the Exclusive hat.

You need to dominate someone wearing the hat on Harvest to get it, if you aren't a Forum troll.

Lol, he was just being an asshole, you can just force the "hat get" thingy to appear on chat fromthe console, but you don't get any hat IRL...you have been fool'd :P
And, TBK, the only weapon that should crit from behind is the BB, and the spy's knife of course.
The soldier is such a noisy class that it's almost impossible to get behind an enemy without him noticing...

I'm pretty sure you did get one. Look at your profile on tf2items.com, and you'll see that you have a 'ghostly gibus' in an invalid backpack position, which probably just means they haven't given it to you yet.

got both the hats and all the achievements. Took me like 30 minutes to do in a small server, so it's all pretty easy.

but now my demo's stove pipe is kind of pointless.

Sup guys, my first experience in TF2 has been a memorable one.

I found my calling as the Heavy and Medic class, mowing enemies with my heavy, supporting the team with the medic.

However I didn't know what an uber was, so someone ordered me to help him "uber rush" with the medic, and when I didn't he got hella pissed. He accused me of sabotaging the team. But when I proved to him that I was a noob, that it was my first TF2 game, he checked my profile and forgave me. When he was angry, he went all the way to a voteban against me, fortunately only three people voted against me because my alias was Chuck Norris.

Wow this game is so intense, it's highly based on team work which is awesome.

I love TF2.

Some of the more pro players can get pretty annoyed/serious sometimes...you get use to it though
the good thing too about the game is the fact every situation is different..it's not like Halo Multiplayer where you're fighting the same people, with the same weapons, and a very little variety of strategies...

I think Valve have been trying to make hats a little more easier to get though, I'm guessing they don't want to make the small percentage of unlucky people to feel left out so they want to make them more accessible

Just asking, hasn't anybody noticed my Photoshop image yet? Or, don't you just have nothing to say? I'd really like your comments, people, positive or negative, constructive or not, even though I'd prefer them to be constructive. Because, I think it's pretty good for a first Photoshop attempt.

I finally got the Gibus hat as well. I love this map though, but Scouts tend to rape really hard, since it's so open. I was carving up as a Scout, plus the little crit-inducing presents left behind make things so much more hectic.

To be brutally honest, it's not that great, but it could be a lot worse I guess. At least you cut out the figures fairly well, but the cat's head doesn't really fit in well at all.

No, I got a hat. And the others too. There's a thread on the Steam Forums, it happened on nearly all servers at the same time. Some glitch caused by the halloween update.

Also, in the update log, apparently they've fixed that Engineer exploit where they could build sentries inside this cage-like area, which made them practically impossible to destroy.

Glad they finally got around to that, since that was a really annoying glitch.

Also, I really wish koth_harvest_event was a permanent map... blowing up pumpkins and the temporary crits from the candy pumpkins made things hectic and awesome.

Ok i'm new, I'm a noob. Although I am a great sniper on the PC, on Counter Strike which may have it's advantages. So using pragmatics i've decided to go for the sniper class. I havn't really got to play the game much yet but I've played baloon race which is heaps of fun!
