Nothing worse than bringing out the Shovel when you need the Shotgun.

Yeah, the fact that you have to click to select a weapon sucks, l changed it to auto-switch centuries ago...
Well, Paradox, if you srcoll too quickly you might want to change your mouse...mine has a "special" scroll wheel.Normally it srcolls and it makes a "click" every time you scroll it down or up by 1..uh...unit, but it you press it it becomes a free scrolling mouse, meaning that you can spin it as fast as you want.

So I bought TF2 a year ago.

And I just started playing.

It's god damn fun.

Spy / Medic my favorite classes so far.

I have the same sort of scroller that HeavyTank has.
Also I don't get this 'spy cloak reload' thing, what does it do?

Hmm. Well, it's not a huge issue for me, since I've gotten used to it so much that I just click as soon as I hear the 'click' of the scroll wheel anyway.

Also I don't get this 'spy cloak reload' thing, what does it do?

Well, you can change your disguised weapon. It's a bit weird to see an Engy hanging around buildings without his wrench out for the most part. Or if you see a Medic without his Medigun out, even around teammates etc.

Disguising as Medic is generally a bad idea since the enemy team expects you to heal them when you got your medigun out and they get suspicious if you have the saw or Syringe Gun. Scoot is bad idea for an obvious reason.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

I never disguise as slow classes such as soldier and heavy. You move way to slowly to catch up to an enemy so you can backstab them. I never disguise as a scout due to the fact that you run much slower.

I always disguise as any of the following:

- Pyro (Good running speed)
- Demoman (Good running speed, unexpected cloak)
- Sniper (nobody ever suspects it)
- Spy (Cause it's fun to disguise as an enemy spy and spy around when in reality your actually your teams spy whos spying on other spys)
- Engineer (Good for sapping a group of engineer's sentries, they don't know which one's the spy.)

When did this happen? I've always had it as a rule to keep an eye on people carrying around the default primary weapon.

Not to mention that a spy spy will usually appear disguised as enemy spy.

I've realised I don't actually have any of you added on steam, so send me an invite, I'm thosesneakyfrench.

Ah yes, thank you! Thats what I need. I knew about the scroll wheel, I just don't like using because of your situation, at you times pass the weapon you really wanna chose. Thats happen to me lots of times, which cause me to die >_<

I too always cloak as sniper, you aren't expected to attack much and people often don't care what you do, on 2Fort you can sneak on battlements or around their spawn and have some fun.
Demoman yes.
And all the others ones Greenfrost said.

I'm pretty happy with that weapon switch as a Spy too

Over at Maget Engie, we have been working at something funny.
Cowboys vs Injuns
Basically, RED is sniper and BLU is spy. RED is only allowed to use the Huntsman and Kukri. BLU is only allowed to use the Revolver. No Jarate, no cloak, no disguises, no ambassador. It's hella fun. Also, everybody picks a new name for +fun. And Trite plays Wild West tunes
It's awesome.

Ka-rate: makes Sniper a martial arts master. Replaces kukri.
Master Sword instead of Metal Bat.
Hylian Shield instead of Razorback.
New Revolver for spah.
Nintendo DS for the engineer.

Some more I can't remember at the moment.

I have an entire pre-made pack for spy along with an epic looking Ambassador replacement, despite the fact that I'm rarely ever caught playing anything other than Soldier or sometimes Demo at the moment. I do have two or three BETA style skins (due to the fact that just about every single one looks far better than the final release's models), though I must've removed all of the data behind them, since the original GCF models and materials have replaced them again since (for whatever reason).

I used to have a loads back towards the end of last year, back on my old Steam folder.

Yes, but you gotta admit that since people never disguise as soldier/heavy you have the surprise factor..l actually never suspect heavies since l never saw a heavy spy, but there was this one time where a spy actually was a heavy, so he got me without me suspecting a thing..

I always disguise as any of the following:

- Pyro (Good running speed)

Yes, but waay overused, you'll get spychecked by everyone.

- Demoman (Good running speed, unexpected cloak)

Demo is actually a bit slower than normal speed classes

- Sniper (nobody ever suspects it)

Ah-em.Nobody ever suspects it IF you're hanging around the right area..if you're running around they will suspect you, you gotta act like a sniper

- Spy (Cause it's fun to disguise as an enemy spy and spy around when in reality your actually your teams spy whos spying on other spys)

Not a good idea, people spycheck even their own spies now just because they are spies...

- Engineer (Good for sapping a group of engineer's sentries, they don't know which one's the spy.)

Lol, yeah..

As for the SKINS (not models) l use Nem's battle hardened demo/heavy/soldier, a hawaiian shirt for the sniper and some weapons skins that make weapons look cooler.

I don't use any skins. I leave the game stock standard. Partly because I've had bad experiences with skins and them crashing my game/screwing with everything for me in other games.

Team Fortress Two is perfect in it's original state.

Agreed. Also on this note of Spy being able to alternate between weapons, i have once stupidly been tricked by a smart Spy who kept quickly changing between weapons, which was how i determined team mates from Spy's back before the update. So i healed him, we ran off, and he backstabbed me.

Since then I've been using the same trick on everyone else ^_^ it works 70% of the time.

Though I wouldn't mind getting a longsword kukri or something.

Holy Christ...I never realized how powerful the heavy can be if used well in the game, every 2Fort match I go into I went on streaks of getting 3-6 kills before dying and making a load of dominations and without a medic. Never get backstabbed much either because I look around myself a lot.

It starts getting a little hard though once the whole of Red starts going scout then trying to jump of the bridge and hit you with their bats, either way I was on top of the scoreboard really quickly and destroyed most of their defense with a spy helping.

I just reset my TF2 stats this afternoon. I eventually got so sick of seeing my Medic with 533 points in one life. Losing all my other records is a pain, but hopefully they'll get back up there soon enough.

2fort as a heavy?Well, that's impressive...usually most people go sniper/engie/soldier/scout....

See?Heavy is fun :D
By the way, l must give you a warning about models: DO NOT use them...most servers won't accept them so you'll end up with the wireframe, or even nothing at all...and they are really hard to uninstall too....

Also, woo, l have the pyro axe now..it looks awesome :D

What's the difference between skins and models? I'm still using Vanilla TF2, if you hadn't guessed :P

I've clocked just under 95 hours of TF2. Admittedly, a lot of that was idling, but back last year or something I used cracked Steam for an easy 10 hours, perhaps a bit more, squaring it up to even more. I really need to get a life.

Skins are just modifications of the texture covering a weapon/item/characters (like shinier textures, or different shirts) while models are custom-made 3d..well, models that look cool but are unsupported by most servers (like the DS engieneer PDA, the cake sandvich and many more)

OF COURSE not, l am talking about my level icon.....
