Ive never heard that, I need to play spy more often.

I recently reset my stats because achievment servers fucked them up, probably a stupid move but it's alright.

In internet years i'm dead.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. It's not very often that you'll get a domination against a Scout.

I've been thinking about doing the same... mine are screwed over as well, though I don't want to lose my awesome Soldier streak :/

I hate that. I think if you cloak right after the crit effect takes place though, it disguises the glow as well. So your best bet is to hide in a corner, uncloak and recloak quickly when your team is about to cap.

The only way I can think of getting a domination as a spy on a scout is if he didn't move around much and wasn't very good or you were actually trying to dominate him...or you could be REALLY good with pistol though

Well the other option is if you backstabbed a Heavy/Sniper a tonne of times, and he switched class to Scout because he got sick of getting killed so much. If you were then lucky enough to kill him, you might get a domination against him.

You know the one after the Classless update, where when your team caps the intel, everyone gets crits for a small time? Well, since it makes your gun glow your team colour, it's a tad obvious that you're a Spy, especially when your gun is glowing while you're cloaked >:(

Valve really need to fix that.

I've chosen heavy as my main. I have the most fun with heavy and it's my rule to play who I like to play the most. Only thing wrong with it is the same as what pyro users get I guess. Everyone else says it's a noob class.

I don't think they will. If I heard correctly it's actually something they intended to keep, all I'd do is try to hide or uncloak and attack with the knife or pistol.

I love the heavy too, and I do well at if I have a helpful medic and I'm in a good mood, when I got my Heavy Ushanka hat I topped off up to 50-60 points just in a few minutes and we got like 13 destruction points, at least 6 being sentries.

Good for you, there really aren't enough Heavy players. A team can absolutely dominate if you have some good Heavy/Medic combos. Trouble is that they're generally hard to come by. They're easy classes to play, but to actually be good at is a lot deeper.

The thing with me and heavies is I have my ups and downs, if I feel good I usually look behind me, take good care of my medic and get lots of kills and know whats going on, but sometimes I just don't do so well.

The Sandvich drop thing is also pretty useful, if you're medic is at low health and you aren't in a tight spot (say your team is running past you or whatever,) then it shouldn't be hard to just drop it and let him take it. At first I thought it was an impractical idea...but it works.

Oh, FINALLY!Someone else who likes the heavy more then the other classes! You are most weclome here :D
And you know what? The best way to prove wrong players that think that the heavy is a noob class is to beat their asses so much that they end up without one.I did that once, there was a guy calling me a noob, so I kept owning him even if he was constantly changing classes...that was one of the most satisflying things l ever did.

Heavy is my second most used class, but soldier still has more than twice as much time clocked. The heavy just isn't versatile enough to come out of an ambush alive, where as the soldier has escape options.

Trying to play engineer more, but it seems whenever i get a good spot to build, no one crosses it until we get stormed by an uber.

I'm trying to play heavy every so often, but it just doesn't seem right with me.

If you ever need a good medic by your side, just ask me or Paradox. We're both fucking awesome at that class.

THERE IS NO MORE TO SAY.

I prefer the speedier classes, as the Heavy is too big a target at long range. Still use him from time to time, but prefer to be a Spy, Pyro or a Sniper.

I never play Sniper, and I only play Pyro when there really aren't any other options (ie every other class is stacked with 2 or 3 already). My top three most used are Medic, Soldier and Spy third. I should probably play Demo more to be honest, though I'm not the greatest with the sticky launcher. I just don't know when to use it, and when not to. I'm just much more comfortable with firing 'nades at people, and doing damage that way.

I must be one of the odd Demos, since I nearly always see it the other way around.

I suck at demo. And I only play sniper when I deem is practical to have a mid-range weapon that does a ton of damage and throw jars of piss at groups of people. Jarate is SO useful for clearing a point.

I've also come to the conclusion that you can't play engineer alone, you need at least two engineers working together. Otherwise their crap gets blown to smithereens in minutes.

At least the knife crits regularly now. Although it's more practical to whip out the revolver for 100+ damage.

Well, if you want there are loads of guides about how to play demo...hell, even l could give you some tips...here or in a PM if you want a REALLY big list...

That is SO true...also, you gotta hate the engie that I call "pessimistic" because they build everything on the last point, "just in case", but they don't realise that this way they're helping what they're trying to prevent (the enemy from advancing)...they just assume that the team sucks and that they can't hold the damn point....

So you get insta-backstabs?Cool, although yeah, the revolver/ambassador is much better...

One or two simple pointers would be nice. =3

Well, in Badwater, I build on the roof immediately after building a teleporter closer to the first point. Mainly because I don't know where an effective spot would be there.

No, no. Crits regularly. They do critical damage, but not a backstab. Backstabs are always 600% of your max HP. Hence, Dead Ringer Spies takes 75 damage from a backstab (125×6×0.1).

Yeah, I'm not surprised. It's not very often that you'll get a domination against a Scout.

I've heard the one about the Scout running fast and dying a virgin before, but never the "rainbows make me cry".

Usually you get the dominations through backstabs, and honestly, has anybody been able to consistently backstab scouts?

I'm probably out of my mind. Knocking won't make me get to the door any faster.

I have several questions about this game. First, since as of yet I only have Orange Box for the 360, do you think the payload/map updates are going to be released? Second, is it still worth it to get this game for the PC? Third, I have all the requirements under the Recommended System Requirements according to this, how would the game run?

Thanks in advance.

Valve are still working on the 360 updates, last I heard. Apparently they want to release them all at once though, to save you from Microsoft's money-scrounging antics as much as possible. So you'll get theme eventually... just not for a long time, unfortunately.

Personally, I'd say it is worth it for the PC. You'll get all the updates NOW and FREE, as well as semi-regular patches to balance the game a bit better. Also, the benefit of using a Mouse and Keyboard speaks for itself, unless you're one of those odd people that actually prefer using a controller.

Second, is it still worth it to get this game for the PC?

Yes. Mods (for example different gun skins as well as new maps, homing missiles, options, cheats, etc) make it worth it.

Third, I have all the requirements under the Recommended System Requirements according to this, how would the game run?

Perfectly. Which one do you have?

One or two...ugh.
Well, l'll try:
First of all, do NOT sticky spam...it makes other people RAEG at you and you feel cheap...and it's not the best tactic.Your main weapon is the nade laucher, so stick (lol) to it for actual combat.
Direct hits are always better than indirects, but it's harder to master them...one of the most important rules of the demo is to think ahead of the enemy..is an enemy heading your way?
Backpedal while walking slighly to the left and aiming slighty to the right...this makes nades to straight, and will reduce the enemy to bits....as you may have notices, nades don't to straight ahead, so you gotta compensate for it somehow.
And don't forget, if you want an enemy to get out of a closed area just fire a few nades on the floor, wait for him to come out (or die :P) and kill him.
Stickies are good for traps, for when they kritz you, and for blocking ubers...and another thing: stopping pyros from charging at you.Aim exactly a bit ahead of your feet if he is still kinda far, turn around and aim at your feet if he's right on you. This will make you both fly in opposite directions, thus saving your ass and damaging his/her ass....but be warned: if you're low on health aim ahead of HIS feet to avoid damage.

Well, since you wanted one or two sinple tips l think l'll stp here :P

Well, in Badwater, I build on the roof immediately after building a teleporter closer to the first point. Mainly because I don't know where an effective spot would be there.

WHy the hell do you do that?Advance with your team and build your sg close to another engie's..trust me, your team (or you) are not helped in anyway by doing this...

No, no. Crits regularly. They do critical damage, but not a backstab. Backstabs are always 600% of your max HP. Hence, Dead Ringer Spies takes 75 damage from a backstab (125×6×0.1).

I think Valve needs to hire on more devs, it seems like with all their projects they're spread too thin.
