Solder a piece of aluminum foil to the xbox's internet port, and proceed as normal.

Ahoy hoy there people, listen up. For today, while Valve still hasn't fixed it, i present to you:

How to save your team mates/Medic's ass while saving yourself at the same time!

First off we know about the droppable sandvich, if you drop it and pick it up you get 50hp. However if you eat it you get 100% health. It's often hard to tell if the medic will be able to heal you while you're about to die taking fire whilst on fire at 30hp, and your medic is nearly dead too. Who do you sandvich?

Forget about having that problem, because i bet half of you didn't know that your minigun OR your fists OR your KGB were also Sandvich replacements!

Simply hide behind a wall or somewhere safe and follow these simple steps to save both your asses:

1. Have sandvich out.
2.This step needs to be done properly for it to work. Everyone knows how to taunt with a different weapon right? (Taunt + press q = eat your mingun or hold your sandvich and hug it). But, we add another element to this:

RIGHT CLICK AND TAUNT/CHANGE WEAPON ALL AT THE SAME TIME

Should everything work out, you should:

A. Be eating whatever weapon you switched to.
B. Watch your medic's health increase by 50hp after they walk over your sandvich.

3.Enjoy kicking ass at full health and your ass-saved medic :)

Remember, you saw it here first (as far as im concerned). Take advantage of it while it lasts!

i worked it out yesterday :D

First off, it's not 50 HP, it's 50% of your HP. Like a medium medpack.

Second, while it could be useful, losing your only other form of attack seems a bit problematic. Yeah, you're alive, and your medic is alive, but if you run outta ammo, all you can do is run for ammo.

Granted, it's a moot point since you'll probably die before you run out of ammo, but considering that the medic is healing you, you can just pick up another medpack and get another sandvich. Besides, letting the medic heal you lets them build up their ubercharge faster.

Nice find, though. =D

While we're on the subject of the sandviches, does anyone else get the two second delay to pick the sandvich up, or is that just me?

Also, I'm new here. I may post with some frequency.

Yup.

Well, any Sandvich wielding Heavy faces this issue. It really depends if you want to use your shotgun, or if you're comfortable enough with the minigun to not be a fool and waste it all. I'm a pretty decent Heavy, and I only RARELY ever run out of ammo. It's the idiot heavies that just walk around spraying bullets when there's no-one there that run into this issue.

Must be just you, for me it heals 50% instantaneously.

Yup.

Adding on to this point, you can make a small medpack that heals 20.5% oh your HP to a 50% one; just toss your sandvich and pick the pack up.

I'd like to think I'm decent too, but it's not only running out of ammo, it's the fact that revving up can cost you your life if you can't react immediately. Sure, you should have your shotgun for this situation, but fists is the only other form of immediate attack. Albeit a short ranged one.

Hmm... I guess I'll check it out next time I play.

Post your fun ways to taunt the opposing team

Before defend/attack capture point games, I always like to play as Spy and walk up to the attacking teams respawn gate. I look at one of the enemies, then disguise as them right in front of their eyes, repeatedly saying 'Yes' as their character. It puts them on their toes.

You don't have to switch weapons, you can just press mouse1 and then mouse2. You have to do it quick though.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

Indeed

Uhm, are you talking about the usefulness os the sandvich? If you are, let me tell you that it's not an ammo problem, it's a mobility one. Most shotgun-wielding heavies have the shottie because it allows them to move "fast" and shoot at the same time.
If you don't have it, you have to be good at spumping (spinning+jumping)...like TBK...I typed "spy" with the voice comm, and he spun around while jumping and spinning his minigun...he's getting better :D

LOL
This heavy thing sounds funny. But i must admit I never drop my sandvich to others. I want it for myself. I was on nucleus with another heavy who dropped his sandvich and he died from the flame of a flare gun. HOw humiliating.

I sorta meant that if you discard another weapon instead of the sandvich, you're left with either the minigun or your fists.

...or did I misunderstand?

I'm sorry, but taunt killing a sentry, a dispenser, AND the engineer all in one go? I can't find much that tops that.

oh god I used to have connections with a cluster of those clans. Slaughter house, fun house, medick's mad house and I think some other one that I can't remember. The admin on the slaughterhouse server was a real asshole and the server was total crap. Tried helping the admin of funhouse get more people to play on his server, but eventually they all failed.

Now that I look at those steamIDs, there were a ton of connections from way back in the past.

I'm going away for a week. I'm heading down to NSW for a holiday in a caravan park that's located right next to a beach. I won't be online for a while, neither will I be able to reply to any inbox mail. See you guys on Saturday.

I might check in time to time. They have an internet cafe there.

Anyone get that glitch with the sandman as a scout where when you start the match (specifically in Arena,) you start with 65 health instead of 95?

I heard it's pretty common.
