Lol. That strategy is total rape in that corridor before the final point on the final stage in Dustbowl. Since chances are, that the enemy team are building Uber there right before rushing, so if you can catch them by surprise with a kritzed heavy, the narrowness of the area, plus the lack of damage falloff with the kritzed minigun means you end up with a LOT of points quickly. >:)

That's a good tactic, another good one is to use the kkg on a heavy on Egypt on defense...
We were at the top 2 for the whole time on every single match...now me and that heavy are good friends and we play regularly together :P

Well, this didn't work.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

I assume he means the NG server match. Honestly, I'm thinking we should try to have 2 or 3 matches a week, to make better use of the server. What days/times would work out best for everyone?

I haven't played TF2 in a blistering 3 days. Shit's gonna be so cash.

Agreed, once a week ain't enough. We could try to organize at least one day for the aussies, too.
Since we live in different timezones, we should use the NG BBS timezone (Eastern Daylight Time, EDT). Simply visit General (or any other forum) to check the current time, look at your clock and figure out how many hours you need to add/subtract.

Okay, I propose these dates:
Wednesday, 4 PM
Friday, 4 PM
Saturday, 10 AM <------ 10 PM for Ausralia I think.
Every week. If anyone got an idea or something, go ahead.

The thought was nice, but it's really not the timezones that play the largest part in whether we can join or not (though they do play a role). It's just plain old lag. In Australia, I'm pretty sure we have the worst average internet connection of any developed nation, due to us being largely spread out.

In addition, at the moment I'm back in the country for my mid-year University break, so I'm up to blistering speeds of 192 kbps ON A GOOD DAY. :( It's so bad, I'm getting latency of 200+ on local servers.

It's more likely that if you guys want to play with us, you'll have to join Aussie servers lol, since we tend to get disconnection errors quite frequently when attempting to play overseas (or at least in my experience). I know it is possible, since I've seen HeavyTank join one of my games before.

This, unfortunately, you guys have the stronger connection, make use of it! I have seen plenty of Americans playing Aussie servers with pings lower then mine!

I have perfect connection on American servers. Guess why.

Well, I've found out something else that pisses me off.

Bad spies. On your team.

So I was on the eGo Gravelpit server

(I don't know why I play on eGo servers. There's language rules like it's a children's server. The game's rated Mature and the characters say particular language in-game. Dumbasses...)

And the only two people with VC got the bright idea to try and spycap the last point in Gravelpit. Realize this is gravelpit, and spycapping doesn't work like it does in Warpath; it takes around twelve seconds or more to cap it with two people.

So we're getting our asses handed to us at B because our only two spies are dipshitting around at C, hoping we'll do all the work for them, so I loop around A as a soldier and whack ass at their spawn for a while, until a pyro chases me up the tower. He catches me in the middle of the stairs, and I'm low on health, so I burn in about two seconds. So does the spy sitting in the MIDDLE of the staircase.

And he blames me for leading the pyro to him. I've been in a bad mood for two days because of his sheer dick-headedness. If he wasn't already up that tower, it wasn't my fault. Slow spies piss me off almost as much as bad spies. Bad spies just get worse when they try to use the C&D and creep through places most likely to be walked through.

See, I try not to puff myself up too much, but I can say that I've been very successful with the cloak and dagger simply sitting around. Nobody ever thinks to look in corners.

Also, sneaking up C in Gravelpit does not require cloaking. I made it up the tower as a soldier several times without being sighted once. Nobody ever thinks to look up, either.

I'm probably out of my mind. Knocking won't make me get to the door any faster.

Definitely not 5 seconds, more like eight, at least.

Takes forever compared to Warpath.

On Warpath, if you haven't played on it, if there's a spy on your last point and you lose your second, you might as well ragequit right then, because that point's capped in about four seconds.

Happened to me one time. I like warpath because it is simple and a sneaky heavy behind the enemy lines can do miracles.

Meh warpath has a lack of variery in map design and the bottlenecks are just brutal, you can't get in htere without getting gibbed in less than a second...and yeah, there is this issue with the last point...

Lol. What I'm getting is considered average to fast here. Anyway, dad's in a lock-in contract with Telstra until the end of the year.

That sucks man. I know what that's like, but I don't think I've ever had people that bad. What I really hate is bad Medic buddies. I was on Egypt yesterday, and was healing a Demo, so I hit Uber and run towards the sentries, drawing the fire so the demo can run in and sticky the shit out of them. Instead, the idiot runs off in the other direction, I assume trying to have a jerk off in the corner, since when the Uber ran out and the sentries were still there without a scratch, you can guess who's blood painted the walls afterwards...

A microphone is very usefull to alert your teammates about spies and of course to rally your team.
It seems that ralying makes me better. I was on Egypt map as a Heavy and someone was rallying me and with a medic I killed in one life 10 guys and I got Red Oktoberfest and Class Strugle all in one life( plus one domination:D).

I've started to dislike some medics too >:3 I don't like to moan about medics - no matter how bad they do, at least they're helping.. I only like to complain about medics who whore themselves onto a single person and ignore everyone dieing around them.. but recently I've had a few medics giving me uber/kritz when there was noone around and I've had to charge forward and squeeze out a single kill and I feel bad because I only got them 1 assist for their uber/kritz, when really it was their fault.

I like taking out sentry emplacements as a demo without ubers though, makes me feel like a man. Just blast grenades at them and kill all the engineers and the sentries, dispensers, teleports.. might take 4-8, maybe 12 (though you're likely to be "caught" by then). Makes me cry a little.

So these proposed dates, are they gonna go forward? In which case in roughly an hours time we'll be playing?

If so, what is the server IP and how do I join IPs?

Fuck the Angryfaic challenge.

Something I've noticed over here at NG TF2 crew, here everyone compliments the game, and provides useful feedback and tactics, over in the Steam TF2 forums, everyone is like "BAWW PYRO IS OP!!!!!!!!!!!!! DEMOMAN IS OP!!!!!!! SOLDIER IS OP!!!!!!" etc.

Nothing is ever discussed other than Over/under power issues.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... I'm not sure the time matters so much as the lag that would occue, I would've thought...
I think I'd probably get like 350+ ping if i played on an American server.
