CS:S game mode, noted in maps as gg_*****. everyone starts lvl 1 and works their way to 25 (?) and as the levels get higher so do the weapons (start with glock then work your way up the weapon ladder, last 2-3 levels are grenades and knife).

For some reason, it was the only map type that worked back in the day when I was using onboard graphics. But definitely my favorite, besides de_ maps.

Since the Steam servers were down for maintenaince, l had only the basic loadout of the three updated classes....so l joined a server and luckily they were melee only-ing, so l had fun with my axe..and l remembered this Von Neuman guy and his axing..so l tried the axe tactic on a norrmal match, and l must say, it works!
The axe is good vs. pyros (element of surprise), demos (they can't aim up-close), soldiers (especially if you sneak up on them), and maybe heavies, but you need some serious skill for that...
At the end of the match l was first with a big difference between me and the second....
Axing is also very satisfiyng because your enemies think they can own you, but they don't :P
The airblast is also very useful for axers because it can reflect explosives and push medics away...
The only differences between my and Von Neuman's style are these:
1.He is way better at axing than l am
2.He uses ONLY the axe, the airblast and the flare (boo), but l used flames in some situations
3.He named his axe Betty...

Seems Valve has more to fix, was playing in my fav. surf server, and this dude starts getting the Hardcore achievement 5 times in a row. He did it a couple of times and i laughed. Next, he must have done it about 9999999999999 times because then the server basically just broke. Lag ensued, the server crashed, and thats why im here telling you guys about it.

there's an easy way to crash any server which valve hasn't fixed yet, but some servers have it patched

No idea, it just kept coming up "XXXXX has earned the achievement 'Hardcore'". It was loud as anything and i unfortunately ended up facing the same guy when he achieved it and witnessed countless fireworks and trophies.

Im sure it was done purposely, because then one of the admins said 'Enjoy your ban' and since then i don't think the dudes been on the server.

lol l remember when l played on a surf server for the first time a guy was spawn camping up with hax (you couldn't get to the enemy spawn but he turned collision off or something), so we insulted him to death and then the admin said : enjoy you perma-ban asshole!
And we were all so happy that we left the server...

I hate surf servers, it's not fun, you have to try to make impossible jump and just fucking die on the floor. Wooo, this is fun.

If I wanted something like that but good I would play TrackMania Nations Forever.

it doesnt take long to figure it out. all you do is spec someone and just copy what he's doing.
