As far as I know, you can't due to the complexity of the game. Css Bots are possible as it's kill the enemies with your gun and rescue hostages/capture hostages, which sounds relatively simple if you know what you are doing. But for TF2, 9 different classes need 9 different sets of Ai, plus additional changes for every weapon payout, every map and most importantly, every official gamemode.

I may be waffling on about crap, but it's certainly hard to program Tf2 bots.

You can make them do some things. bot_mimic I think the command is. With that set to 1, the bots will do what you do, you move forward, they move forward. You might have to set bot_yaw_offset to about 180 or so to make that happen, otherwise, you move forward, they move back (its in relation to you).

They will also fire when you do, and jump when you do as well. I messed around with them once after finding some info about them. What I really want to do is arrange a few of them in a line, as engys and have them all build in unison. I think what would look sick.

But, like sweeper said, you can't really do much with them.

Mmhyeah...this is supposed to be a multipllayer game only, and programming bots to spy check is gonna be a bit hard..not to talk about heavies not walking onto sticky carpets (but if they don't step on them what's the sticky launcher for?)...anyway it would be impossible to program tf2 bots...actually, there is a command, bot_defend,, that sounds pretty cool, but l still haven't figured out what the fuck it does...and bot_flipout 1 makes them fire their weapon, but that isn't very useful...so, no bot wars for now!(actually, there is a way to do it with the bot_mimic 1 command, but it is not very fun cos you know what is going to happen..)

OMG! Got a great idea for a gamemode, using these Bots. The player controls the bot, using bot_mimic 1, but cannot move out of a confined space. The confined space, however, has render target screens, from the sight of the Bot.
To win, your bot must get to your opponents space and blow it up...

The idea isn't complete and I'm making it up as I'm typing, but its a cool idea.

A Giant Cock(To replace the Baseball Bat)
+ Secondary Fire added, which causes isntant butt-rape when used from behind (causes bleeding damage)
+ The longer it's out, the more range it gets
- If you have it out for too long, it will spooge on your screen, causing blindness for an undeterminded amount of time.
- Enemy heavies are told your position by a giant cock that floats above your head (like the call for medic symbol.. Except it's a cock.)
(If you haven't realized already, the cock is a joke)

Wait...you mean use bot_mimic 1,and then make them move...aaah, l got it...only 1 bot on you team...but l didn't get that render target screens part...do you have to create a map?
Oh, and btw, how can you ceate a tf2 map (l don't want to create one, l am just curious)?
I mean, you use a stadard 3d program or a tf2 specific one (to place control points, spawns, intel etc.)?

You use the tool that came with The Orange Box, and possibly TF2, the Source SDK Developer thing.

The drawings are great and the stories are very nice (especially the engineer one-if you see it, you'll know what l mean)..don't expect this to be a violent, macho cartoon..it is more cute-style than macho, but l liked it very much!
(tell me what you think about that short pyro story with the condom :P)

I can't tell which one is my favourite (cos l don't really know ^^) but l like the one with the engie girl when she builds a lot of stuff and when she is finally finished a demo tells her to move forward...or when she builds all the sutuff just get killed by and uber pyro...and when, at the end of the match she ponders what is her special ability (and she thinks of the demo stickies, the heavy&med pair, the point-friendly sniper) and she gets a credit card for her efforts!(engineer is cred to team :P)

I Can't take this anymore!
In the last 3 days, tf2 crashed at least 12 times (and internet explorer crashed thrice)...what the fuck is going on here?
I uninstalled some programs, made a disk cleanup, now what?
Actually, l could do a disk defragment, but l am not sure if this is goiong to help...damn it valve, you really need to patch this game!
I mean, the first time l get stuck on the ground, without being able to move but still in-game, when l restart it l am stuck at the after-loading screen (when you have to click continue) and when l RE-RESTART IT l am stuck again, exactly like before..l mean, this is unacceptabe!

Wow that sucks. Like really it does, though I couldn't really help you, sorry. On a side note I had a great game last night. With only being in the server about 55 minutes I managed to rack up 114 points about 33 deaths and 60 kills as pyro. :D

The exact tool is called Hammer. It is what is used to make the maps.

Once you get the basics down, its not that hard to use.

Nice match man...my best match as a heavy was in ctf_uhm...you know...there is well,2 fort and another one...argh...anyway we had 2 engies building a base near the enemy's tunnel exit (the one that leads you to the "battlements"where snipers are), and we were just "camping" there...obviously spies were trying to kill us, but we had a load of pyros, so no problem...as for the rest, the engies, medics and me did all the job...at the end of the match l had a little more than 10 deaths and 55 kills...that's a KPD of 5.5...that was, statistically speaking, my best kill/death match...l have a screenshot of the score table but l don't want to convert it...

Boo and Hiss to Surf maps, they are boring. I will stick with go old fashioned gun game, thank you very mutch. I may suck at them, but i have won a couple in my time, or come second. God damn knife!
