So, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out where the top of this person's hair should be and where it should start.

Any help would be appreciated.

the back of the head should go up a bit further (so there's more of a circle)

and when you shade the hair, just make shure you know where the light is coming from. a little * and lines on a throway layer can really help.
