There isn't anything in particular you need to improve, but it's a very basic anime style that needs work all around, so you need to start adding more detail, work on your anatomy, etc. and improve all around.

sweet, looks really nice. good job on the digipainting.

the left side of her face is just a curve though and it looks a little weird; you should try to add a little definition in there. just google for anime 3/4 faces, you should see what i mean

as the for body, its great. i struggle with drawing poses but you pulled it off nicely, good job

I actually took the liberty of looking around the net for the Anime to look at how the character looks in the Anime so I can compare it to yours.

The main things wrong with this is anatomy and lighting.

Loose the yellow skin thing >.>;
Also the hardcore sunlight takes away from the picture.
The hair is unfinished behind/under the hand?

Leftmost part of the left eye is blued. Make it white and it'll be perfect. Our right, her left.

You need to put more shading into your drawings, and even for anime the eyes are not drawn correctly.

Well it's a good start, but the effects on the hair and the other gradients don't look that great. Coloring is a bit plain too, not any real "life" in it. :P

I think yours came out well. There is just one thing IcyPop23. Her left arm looks like it just bends backwards and then fades away :P. Otherwise, I like it.

Adding onto Vortex's post -

You cannot rely on doge to do your values for you. The highlights come out white. You need to develop a full color palate instead of using only white in highlights.

Also, even though you are doing an anime drawing, real life lighting and techniques apply. The best practice is from life or photographs. Anatomy is important.

Anime is a style that comes after learning how to draw real people. You will never be able to develop stylized drawings if you do not first develop your fundamental skills.

I am not an anime artist but I am going to try to color Vortex's drawing to illustrate my points.

Yeah, I fully agree. I should have a chosen set of colors from now on before I start coloring.

Drawing on pencil is my weakest aspect at the moment, ESPECIALLY anatomy. Mainly because I havn't taken Art since Grade 8 so I kinda have to practice on my own time on that part.
