Distrust most/all politicians?
First off, sorry if this has already been done many times. I did a (very) small check around, but I didn't find too much similar, at least, I didn't find enough to put me off posting this.
Down to business, has anyone got the feeling of distrust towards not just one set of politicians, but a large majority of them, of different parties? I hate to be so cynical, but looking into the both the US election and the UK election to come at some point (and others I'm not aware of I'm afraid), there isn't just one party I'd say has all my confidence in them. I can't really say much about the US, but in regards to the major UK political parties, it just seems they're all getting more and more disorganised, centre, and confused every day. Even the Lib Dems, though I can't actually find that many people who'd say they're a major party anymore.
Well, anyone have any similar feelings or not? Maybe it's just me and my current fascination with 1960s literature.

Welcome to the world we live in. Its a land of cover-your-own-arseness and bureaucracy. No matter how many good intentions politicians have, they are inevitably bogged down further in pandering to those likely to keep them in power.
Vicious cycle. Cant do anything good if youre not in power. cant be in power unless you cater to the majority, who dont always agree with your good intentions.

You can't really look at the fact that the US is still using very easy-to-hack voting machines and not immediately suspect that they're being kept around for a reason.
I suck.

Thats more of a distrust in the system rather than any one politician.

I try to think that whatever the government does, it does so because it at least THINKS it's for the good of the country. I strongly dislike the current administration, but I don't distrust the majority of it, although this might be a bad example considering all the corruption currently being brought to light, and the horrible Sith lord known by some as Dick Cheney.
