Who hate America.
If you don't like the country, why don't you just leave? I don't understand it.
And if your too young to leave, you better be out when you turn 18 if you feel that strongly against it.

Are we not allowed to have freedom of speech?
Besides, I do not hate America. I hate American society.

The funny thing is, the people you think hate America, probably don't hate America.
Hating the current administration and its policies != hating America

No. I really abhor American society. What kind of society if oblivious to the rest of the world?

And yet, he's still right. Shocking.
I think XeroXTC is dead on. In America, we are allowed to express any opinion we want. The very fact that there are Americans who are quite vocal about their hate of America is a sure sign that we're still free. Even further, he poses a fantastic point. People don't hate the soil, they hate the policies. That's a fair argument to have for people. Simply because you don't like the direction your country is taking, the only option is to jump ship and go somewhere else? What a defeatist and decidedly un-American (ugh, did I really type that?) attitude. America was founded on the fact that we didn't like how we were governed, so we went ahead and made our own rules. Not only is there nothing wrong with that, but it's what makes America such an amazing country. If you don't like something, let it be known. That's the first step to a movement; being vocal.
Fuck the "if you don't like it, get out" mentality.

Thank you.
One of the ways I explained in a paper I wrote once about the rise of a powerful nation is that things like free speech are useless when awful dissidence is allowed to flourish. After all, if there is too much dissidence, a revolution is on the horizon. But why even wait for such an outcome, deport them now, they obviously neither deserve nor want to be here.

So I am not allowed to voice my distaste for America? I should just shut up and deal with it? Besides I do not hate America, I strongly hate the society. America is great, that I can give you. But when a society that is completely oblivious to everything around it is not a good one. America has too much Pride, we need to be shot down to make our country better.

I hate America and Americans.
I like in the UK, never been to America, never want to.
I personally think 9/11 was a good thing. America boasts how great they are, but one attack and they whine bitch and moan and then blame everyone but themselves, the bomb any country but the one that attacked them. They use 9/11 as an excuse to gain more profite for their own greed without considering others. It also gave them a taste of their own medicine. Bombing other countries, was about time someone bombed them.
Americans will say they hate what their government is doing, but when given any chance to stand up, they stay stitting down eating their tv dinners and watching tv.
They hate any country that doesnt fully sapport them.
They say they are the greatest country in the world, and most Americans don't even know where South America is. They think it is where Georga and Florida is.
They make others learn all their states and capitols, but most of them only know about a few states and only the capitol of their own state. Some don't even know that.

Nice, you have never been to a place, and yet you believe you have the knowledge required to make a sweeping statement such as that.

Tell me, are you a troll, or are you that dense as to think that it may be the current administrations policies that make us the asses many countrie believe Americans to be? I'm not even going to touch on the fact that you are a monster for even attempting to justify the killing of thousands of people.
Americans will say they hate what their government is doing, but when given any chance to stand up, they stay stitting down eating their tv dinners and watching tv.
If you are referring to the people who don't vote, then yes I completly agree with you, otherwise, you have no ground to stand on.
They hate any country that doesnt fully sapport them.
Give me a list of countries we hate that we are not currently in conflicts with, otherwise get off the board and go to general where your whining is appreciated.
They say they are the greatest country in the world, and most Americans don't even know where South America is. They think it is where Georga and Florida is.
You have been watching waaaaay to many of Jay Leno's "Jay Walking" skits haven't you? They cover where all the continents are in 1st or 2nd grade over here, if not earlier.
They make others learn all their states and capitols, but most of them only know about a few states and only the capitol of their own state. Some don't even know that.
Who are we forcing to learn about our country? Please tell me, as I'm genuinly curious as to who we are forcing to learn about our country, as I'm sure there isn't one.
UK > America
Oh, close, but not quite. Which one is the super power again?

America is a huge country, saying you hate it is like saying you hate Europe. It makes no sense. You can hate president Bush for his wars and for other reasons, or you can hate the fact that most Americans watch too much TV, or whatever... But hating America makes no sense at all... The differences between the states and even cities are too big to be put under one statement. Maybe you think that all people are like the ones you see on TV, but then you need to learn the difference between reality and fiction.

Wait, so you never been to America and yet you're making such a huge judgment?
Please tell me you're a troll or just an idiot.
I personally think 9/11 was a good thing.
Hundreds of people dieing! That's a good thing... Right?
America boasts how great they are
Says who? You? You said you've never been here and you claim we all go prancing around shouting "AMERICA RULES". You've never been here so how can you even tell? And even if you have, that wouldn't be representing the whole American population.
but one attack and they whine bitch and moan and then blame everyone but themselves,
People died, most were in mourning. So it's wrong to feel sorrow when a tragic event like 9/11 happens? And since when did we blame EVERYONE? Last time I re-called, we knew who had done, we blamed them as it WAS their fault.

American citizens don't call the bomb shots, kid.
Americans will say they hate what their government is doing, but when given any chance to stand up, they stay stitting down eating their tv dinners and watching tv.
I believe that's one of our problems nowadays, but whose to say we're not doing anything about it?
Ever heard of protesters? Of course not.
They hate any country that doesnt fully sapport them.
Since when? I like the U.K, I like Canada, I like Japan - I'm pretty sure there's tons of Anti-American propaganda being played out over there, but I don't care as I KNOW it doesn't represent them as a whole.
They say they are the greatest country in the world, and most Americans don't even know where South America is. They think it is where Georga and Florida is.
South America is a continent. Located South of North America. It's not hard - I can even point it out on a map! Doing, there goes your argument.
They make others learn all their states and capitols, but most of them only know about a few states and only the capitol of their own state. Some don't even know that.

Clown, celebrating the deaths of innocent people makes you a dick, no matter what side of the political spectrum you are on. What if one of your relatives was working in America during a terrorist attack which kills him? Would you still be laughing then? Didn't think so.

They all do, but America takes it overboard. Do you know how vile it is when a country knows more about celebrity gossip than anything else? I asked about 100 people at my school what is going on in Pakistan right now, and about 10 people responded they know; the other 90 I asked celebrity-tabloid questions and I got extreme detail. I was grossed out.

Because British people either live vicariously through the US, or use the US as a scapegoat to point the finger at. They are obsessed with the US, they NEED to talk about the US because it draws attention away from their own country.
It's like a stalker basically, it makes their own lives more eventful when they focus their attention on someone else.
Who cares?
Everyone.
Some people care more about the US elections than they do their own. For example Canadians watched the 2004 presidential election coverage more so than they did their own national elections. I'm sure this is true in other countries as well, maybe the UK.

Why didn't I see this coming? No, wait I did (sort of) see it coming. When I saw you were logged on I thought "best check my posts"
So, let me get this straight. Unless it's to do with the middle east (or sometimes celeb scandal but that happens everywhere) I never hear the US mentioned, yet we're obsessed with it so we can ignore our own problems and focus on yours.......yeah totally. I think you just like the insane idea that the rest of the world is looking at you!

I'm not sure because I heard nothing about Bush getting it again till I came.....here. And I got to see all the wonderful "Bush is dumb" topics. If Bush is so stupid what does that tell you about the voters? lol
