If anyone cares to know I make Hardstyle check my stuff out... however Hardstyle might be a subgenre of Trance but it still has the ability to not be one, because of the fact that it uses hard and off beat synths. rather than any true melodic synths all the time.

Argh, no way... Hardstyle is one of the most diverse electronic genres out there. Perhaps you don't like it because you don't think it's melodic enough, etc. Some of the most epic and melodic/beautiful tracks in electronic music are hardstyle... =/

Hm, if hardstyle were to be a genre. we would have to ad like 100 more of the subs, i think its one of those "a bit to spesific" ones. what im dying for, however is a breakbeat section. and this one i think its safe enugh to say belongs here. i would also like a hardstyle section ofcoruce, but imagine the riot if that were the only new genre poping up :P

I think they should add subcategories? That'd solve it all. Under Trance they'd have hardcore, hardstyle, etc. w/e ... That would be cooler because you could narrow down your searches more. I like hardcore a lot more than regular 'ol trance and I can never find any because its all piled in a big heap -_-

That brings in another problem. I have never met two people that have the same opinion of what a certain genre should sound like. The sub genres are so specific and so obscure that if you add one single element, it could change the genre completely. Since no song has EXCLUSIVELY those elements that create the subgenre, they'll always get confused, and your little idea there will end up as muddled and incorrect as a shit in the toilet.

Lol true.. i mean, i have 40% of my songs missplaced. since there issnt exactly a "orcestral breakbeat" section. and will never exist either :P its not even a propper sub elswhere. and i guess.. its too late now anyways. i mean, what a big fucking mess it would be, to introduce new genres now.. and then you want to move your songs but WOOPS! its used in a submition, and then you cant edit the song. (aperantly thats how it works) .. So i see why theyre not doing anything about it now. its after all fine as it is all in all. :)

God, I dont know what the hell hardstyle is, judging by the thread and the only exposure to it, it sounds ... just not.
