Given my country, I am slightly worried or paranoid at a future which I could see happening. Given the choice I would vote for Obama, but will I be given the choice. Or, as has happened in the past will a small group of people or a single individual do something stupid.
IE Are we going to see another Kennedy/Martin Luther King JR/Lincoln in our lifetime go down because one person decided a gun was the right way to solve things?
Like I said I'd vote for Obama, and things are looking good for him, but I'm worried that the patern of violence, prevalent every 20 years or so is going to come full swing at the largest target available in the last decade, the first black presidential contendor with a chance. And then even if he wins, what will happen afterwards?
I know this is a bit of a topic change, but I feel as if it might happen and want to know other people's opinions.

How can you say that? Do you honestly beleive that rascism [in this case, a lack-of] hasn't been shown in the fact that barack obama is very close with Hillary Clinton?
On a moving train there are no centrists, only radicals and reactionaries.

Obama's got nothing behind him.
Hilary's got experience which means that she has done more work for her country in this particular field. When people work hard and long, they should be rewarded, that's why capitalism works.

I did get a chuckle: the BBC coverage last night reported like Obama winning would be a foregone conclusion - whoops.
On the subject of Obama, am I alone in thinking he spouts nothing but empty platitudes that might sound OK as a soundbite, but has zero meaning on the political landscape? We've had enough of people like that over here in the past decade (i.e. Blair and Cameron), so if one became US President, I may die a little inside.
Yes, I'd rather Hilary won the Candidateship, if it is going to be Hilary vs. Obama (which it probably will be).
