If not with midgets in singlets, with giants. Let's face it. As artists, we get bored. We need to draw something to keep up our chops, no matter what it is. And we're all tired of drawing Saturday morning-styled anime. So if you have time out of your precious video game playing day, draw something wrestling-related here.
Here's mine. Guess who.

My DA Crap...
"It's not a tumah!!!"
Google up "Abdullah the Butcher." Yeah, he really looks like that. Tights up to the tits.
And yes, he still gives me nightmares.

Damn, I really love the pose in this one.
Glad you approve. It's kind of tame for the Mexican style, though.
Luchadores are usually fun (and difficult) to draw because they do things that damn near defy the laws of physics. Hence why they break their necks all the time.

It's a lot of things. I admit, the idea of wrestling is VERY creepy by description, but it doesn't turn out so bad. I miss when WCW and WWE were going back and forth and the overall product was just a higher quality than what it is now. It was even *gasp* starting to become "hip" for a while.

Hahah. Yeah, 'Taker is still with WWE. He's some sort of big-wig behind the scenes and everyone has to apologize to him or else they get fired. Oh well, they're never as cool as their personas. The "midget" is Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer), the Undertaker's long time manager. He used to control Undertaker with the urn.
Sknot,
I just used Flash and did these sort of quickly for fun. Started out with a huge canvas of 1,000px by 1,000px and inked with one of the larger paint brushes. Sort of sloppy, but good for fast work. Then I usually just resize to whatever size that fits the BBS limits.

Thanks. I'm attempting to get more into a painterly style these days, though I still love traditional cell shaded stuff. I think the Muta could have turned out better if I had used way darker more moodier colours, but it's a style I'm still getting the hang of.

Much appreciated. By the way, it was done in photoshop and I used the exact same method for pretty much every part. 60% opacity, 40% flow with the brush tool. The major obstacle I'm facing now is how this sort of art looks different on different monitors. I've noticed on a few of my other computers that it looks brighter, even though the settings and resolution are similar.

Depends on preference I guess. I still like vector art/animation like most newgrounders, but I've been noticing over the past several years a lot of painters emerging on the site. That's cool too in my book.

I was intentionaly being more proportionate on the Muta piece rather than doing an exaggerated style. However, I still like to do caricatures. I could never see myself trapped into one style or another.
