Most are really bad, but some, like the Eagles and Boston, are worth a listen every once in awhile. I got a record player for my birthday and started buying them from a local shop in town.
So far I've got:
Best of the Doobie Brothers
Uriah Heep-Look at Yourself (original press)
Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here (original press)
Pink Floyd-The Wall (original press)
Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon (fresh print)
Mountain-Nantucket Sleighride (original press)
Queen- A Night At The Opera (original press)
Queen- News of the World (original press)
Queen -The Game (original press)
Eric Clapton- Another Ticket
Steve Miller Band-The Joker (original press)
The Best of the James Gang (original press)
James Gang- Straight Shooter (original press)
Bob Dylan- Highway 61 Revisited (fresh print)
And in the mail at the moment on the way:
Bob Dylan- Bringing It All Back Home (original press)
Beach Boys- Pet Sounds (original press)
The Best of the Animals (original press)
I'd like to get every dylan album on vinyl, all originals. It might be kind of tough, but that's really the only goal I have collecting wise.
Do any of you collect records? If so, what do you have?

I have a record collection, it has a little bit of everything in it. I mostly have comedy records like Weird Al, though.
My 1,337th post (the second one I made in that topic).

The record store we have here sells most records for $5. Some of the rarer or more popular records are a little more depending on their condition. Yeah, the new pressings are expensive, but my originals were all pretty cheap. My Wish You Were Here was only $1, and it plays fine.

I don't. Sorry.
So I went to our mall today and bought 8 more records. Only spent $20
Three Dog Night- Seven Seperate Fools
Three Dog Night- Harmony
Three Dog Night- Golden Biscuits
Rush- 2112
ZZ Top- Eliminator
Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Lynyrd Skynyrd- Street Survivors
Beach Boys- Live in London '69
woot!
oh my god, you have the Doobie brothers?!
I fucking love "What a Fool Believes". Amazing song.
Whoa... Homemade Sig.
I'll be writing a fan-fic soon... it'll probably be about Sonic. Sonic roolz!
Your list will be fuckin' amazing when you score a non-taken-apart Billion Dollar Babies and School's Out,
by Alice Cooper
'cause even if you hate the music, the sleeves are enough to make a purchase.
Whoops, I forgot to say "nice list".
Nice list!
Records are a cool thing to collect. See if your relatives have any records- you'll probably have an aunt or uncle that still has at least a couple of their old albums in the attic.

Yeah, my mom gave me a lot. Only a couple worth keeping. All my relatives live in Florida. Quite a ways from Indiana. They probably would have some though...

I know my dad has an 8 by 5 shelf FILLED with records, its bloody ridiculous. I can't really name them, but I know he has alot of Rush, Kiss and Pink Floyd

I have that on cassette for some reason...
My dad has a big record collection that I have never looked through, but I have looked through his cassete collection, which is really big too.
Do you have anything by Wishbone Ash?

Man, I have a friend whose father's collection that to shame. He has a huge bookshelf with records filling the damn thing, organized by artist, of course. I think the shelves the records are on bend slightly due to the number of records. Seriously, he has hundreds of records. They probably weigh more than a 10 year old boy.

I've gotten a majority of mine from local stores. 2 on there way from ebay. I wanted The Animals Animal Tracks but couldn't find one, so I got their greatest hits on record. It was amazing how bands back then put out greatest hits after only 2 or 3 albums.
Sweet, the banner ad on the top of the screen is for records.

i have a bunch of records in the basement that i haven't gone through in a long time. we got them at the library when they were getting rid of them. there are some classics in there.
and my buddy RJ, his record collection could probably trump your friend's dad's collection.

Originals or reprints?
Either way Abbey Road is great. I want to find an original on vinyl. Never heard Iron Butterfly.

I found them through Amazon.com and it didn't say the Iron Butterfly is new so I think it may be a reprint and the same for the Beetles
