many people older than 9 watch those. spongbob has that humer sometimes that adults think is funny and invader zim is just pwnage when it first came out my brother was probubly 20 and he loved it and my cousin who is 19 or 20 ( i forgot which ) he owns every episode and still watches them

Personally, I like Zim. It's less gay, and never had a chance to sell out.
Also, both shows may be for kids, but both have hidden adult humor that might go over your head if you don't pay attention.
