Hey I was going to experiment with some hard club type music with the deep bass that just thumps. Does anyone know a good technique to get some nice sounding sub bass?

Lots of layered synthesizers, good compression techniques, and a low pass filter.

What are you talking about?
Just layer your bass with a low sine wave. It makes a sub.

Wow... Thanks for the low pass tip. I just cloned the bass already had and threw some extra delay / reverb and low pass filter on it and it sounds pretty hot :)

Layer your synths so it's fat, low pass it to clean it up (rid of frequencies not sent to a woofer), and Compress it with a good attack so it hits HARD.
That's what I'm talking about.
