I'm getting a wii!

It will be my birthday in 5 days so my dad went up to me and said that if I could find a store with a wii in stock, then it was mine. Unfortunately, I haven't found one in stock yet.

Meh. The Wii is OK if you want to really get into your games. However, the Wii's graphics are shitey, and playing sports games and stuff is hard. That's why I still go with regular paddled games, like the Xbox 360.

Yea. I've played the Wii before. It's fun, but not something I would want to play on a regular basis.

Well, you haven't gotten that Wii for sure, soldier. Let's go over the basics.

First off, grab that old phonebook, and compile a list of stores that even have a chance of selling games. Target, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, small game shops, and game store chains are all good places to hit. After you have the list of stores, call each one. If one store does not have one, move on to the next one. If no stores on the list have it, re-compile the list, adding new places you haven't tried yet, and keep the list for a few more days. Then, in a couple of days, re-call all the places on the list. Repeat until...

YOU FOUND A PLACE!

Now, after congratulating yourself on finding one, ask the clerk you are speaking with if they can set one aside for you. If they say "yes", great! Go pick it up at the store. If they say "no", QUICK! Rush over there as fast as you can.

I got mine using this method. I got it from Best Buy within 3 days of beginning this list maneuver. It works, I tells ya!

I have owned a wii since the release date and a 360 since last summer, I like the wii a little more, but well...good luck finding it in stock considering they are selling for $600+ on ebay.

meh, wiis will be okay after a couple of years but right now it doesn't really seem worth it. (I don't mind the graphics, but there aren't enough games that are what I am interested in. I.E. a story?)
