VERY good job. :D

from what i've seen on more professional art sites. that people that drew wings mostly have the lightsource from behind. or close to the character. they take alot of time to shading each feather. vector art with wings is somewhat noticable to MARVEL-comics (MARVEL comics have complete black shading, basicly black and white art most of the time, google about MARVEL and you'll see what i mean.)

the drawings are really good, so far.

Some amazing work in this thread... as much as I'd like to go through and critique each piece, I'll just do a couple.

The last one you posted is nice, I like the colors... but her eyes are too spread apart. That eye that is closest to us needs to be closer to her nose, it kinda looks like it's drifting off of her face. Kinda like that Pulp Fiction joke on family guy ;P While her face is drawn clear, her body is kinda blurry... kinda interesting. Her bones under her neck come down a bit strangely as well. I feel that the one on the right should be facing kinda upwards, instead of slating down as much there, doesn't look like she's hunching over to the side as much as it appears. Nice job on the lips and hair in this one though :)

The master of puppets one is awesome, love the colors on this one too. Although I feel that the strings should go in front of him, as well as behind him. I like the blank stare in the puppets face, very nice :)

Your quick robot sketch is cute. Love all the blues, and think he is an interesting character. Totally diggin' his helmet, and like his little stick arms.

The Open Circuit picture is pretty cool. I like how he's sitting on a checkered line, ready to take off. The text on the mudflaps is a little warped, gets smaller in the middle, and gets fatter as you progress to the right. I do that too sometimes while doing block letters :P The back of the car looks awesome, I love the lighting on the lights, your simulated textures look great here. The GO sign in the background is a bit too out of focus I think... should probably be a little more down... so it kinda looks downhill. Too much of the base is showing, you can see where it starts to curve back in. The giant clouds look enchanting in this picture.

In your other works, I like your clouds as well. They often go reeeeally low to the ground, which is interesting. They look oh so light and fluffy :3 I also liked your simple vector style on that second image :D

Some nice work here, sorry I just kinda did the end of your thread, the other works in here were good, too :) Keep it up!

You inspired me to go back and do those first ones I missed ;P

The first picture is lovely. I love the turquoise sky... the clouds look very wispy, and the tower looks... somewhat majestic. It might be a little too small to have that majestic feeling, but the picture is rather nice. Perhaps some smaller buildings to the sides of it? I dunno... *shrug*

The second picture is a nice vector image, some nice use of the line tool here... except I would have changed the capping on the lines. See how the little... uhhh, heartbeat thing... has curved edges on the points? Click the line tool and go to the properties bar at the bottom, one of the options on the bottom right says: Join: I think miter would look better for this line. It will make the edges more sharp, and less bubbly and round :)

Coloring wings can totally be a bitch, but you did a nice enough job here. Probably could have used a bit more shade off of the main part of the wings... the kinda big part at the top... ya know? I'd have put some sort of light shadow that came down from that big part, and behind his shoulder and stuff, and kinda faded to the white. This individuals eyes are very dark... which is strange due to how holy he looks. The eyes really change up this pic. The thick mysterious clouds seem to be... a little too round. I can see your brush strokes moving in a circular motion instead of being totally fluffy... but it still looks nice :)

For 'boring scenery' you did a nice job. I've always had a hard time drawing trees, but your branches look rather nice here. The clouds can be seen right at the base of the concrete, which really helps give the illusion of a really steep hill. I can also tell it's a hill by the way the trees are descending. That second tree looks like it's about to fall over though, hehe. The brick wall looks really nice, the building looks just a tad too... painted... dunno what it is, maybe it's the windows. A lovely scenery though :)

These are great! The one with the boring scenery has one of the most detailed trees I've seen, I don't like the Open Circuit one because the car's pretty ugly to be racing, but everything else is great! Could use a touch of color, but if you like b/w that's fine. Keep it simple, use black, white, and one other color for effect!
