I actually didn't expect Leonidas and all his army but one would get killed in 300.

Also Rimmer in Red Dwarf's first episode

Also, the girl who Snake meets in "Escape From LA" pretty early on. I thought she looked like a probable female lead, but she was killed after about 10 minutes.

It still catches me off guard, every time I watch it. It's probably the only death in any film I genuinely had no idea was coming. At least Book had some foreshadowing, I was still expecting Wash to return with a massive bandage around him until you actually saw his grave. I was in shock. I still don't think I'm fully over it.

I jumped out of my chair in shock when that boxer guy shot Vincent when he came out of the bathroom on Pulp Fiction. He fucking unloaded on that bastard! He was packing some serious heat. Also, on the same movie, when the big black guy shot the rapist and watched him die.

Ah of course battle Royale - I didn't see thier teachers death coming especially not like that.

I found it weird how he seemed dead then got up calmly to answer the phone.

Leonardo DiCaprio's character in The Departed. Definitely did not see that one coming.

It actually was in a book called "Under a War-Torn Sky" where this pilot was awesome and shit, and was the protagonist best friend. Their bomber blew up, and they parachuted and got ass-raped by a Nazi fighter as he descended, in front of the protagonist.

I thought they were gonna make it together, But at the start of the book BOOM, there goes his best friend.

Everybody in Reservoir Dogs. I thought at least ONE of them would live.

Also, Vincent in Pulp Fiction. Kind of arbitrary death at that.

Tupac and Biggie, in "Tupac v. Biggie: Why The Fuck?"

Also, Mrs. Pacman in "Pacman 3: Waka WaKa-boom"

You know that's the only way they could possibly make a third.

James Cole from Twelve Monkeys. He was the main character of the whole goddamn movie, and he gets shot by the FBI while he's trying to stop the bad guy.
