finished this anatomy sketch, in total it costed about 10-15 minutes to make (i made the upperpart first, later on added the legs) and made the head because buckteeth are awesome.
i think it looks like a hobbit, mainly because i used a big round head, making he body feel tiny and beefy. i'm also sure the hands are abit screwed up because of the large paint-brush.
any suggestions, anybody?

a person is 7 heads high. just draw your head and copy and paste it over itself, til u got 7 of them. the hips are 3 heads down, so to say in the line of both 3rd and 4th heads. notice ur character looks wierd right now with long legs and a tiny body. finsh the fuckin thing before u judge. theres still room for a cock.
the knees are 2 heads from the bottom (between 2nd last and 3rd last) and vuala.
also the shoulders should be about 2 heads apart.
cover his long legs with pants, and he should start to look normal. it helps to use photoshop or flash for the layers, but if ur gonna use paint, paint the skeleton a different colour to ur actual character for easy deletion later.
Practice makes perfect (4th time ive posted this im sorry if its getting boring!!!)

it's not finished, that's why it's called a sketch.

the picture spamming becomes irritating. it has nothing to do with anatomy.
also, the legs aren't to long, they are too short in my opinion. the body is good but the legs should be abit longer because now it looks like a midget of some sort.

if i used your proportions and took your advice to make torso/belly bigger, it'd be a giant with almost no knees at all. dolt. plus, he'd be twice as wide too.
i made the legs taller, the body and legs are around on equal height now. making him now look somewhat more human.

it would look good if i try'd drawing a person that was over ''8'2. 3 stretched arms could possibly fit in with those legs.

let's see.
drawing 1; somebody who makes biography books for a living, and sketches them all. total expert of anatomy.
2; mine.
3; yours.
-1; the legs can fit in with the legs once, almost the same lengs, legs are still bigger.
-2; arms can fit in the legs once, legs are bigger.
-2; arms can fit almost 3 times in the legs. also can the body alone fit more then once in those legs.
you be the judge.

i'm ''6'5 myself (almost 2m if you don't know how much inches it is) which is fairly tall for my age.
if i want to measure myself, i'd also have to measure my head. then it'd also have to draw it on a larger scale because i'm tall thus having more heads to meet my lenght.
i'm not going to use heads as a medium anyways, you told me and yourself to make it 8 heads tall, you saw the result. it was bad. now you retreated to 6 heads. this calculation means nothing. anybody else would make a skeleton for the anatomy because that actually works. with heads you have to jump into conclusions how big somebody is.

it's pretty easy to resize the drawing and slap on heads to the side of it. the actual procedure of using heads as calculation for anatomy takes way to long. you would be better of making the basic skeleton for anatomy because it lets you see how much lenght and width certain limbs have.

That's Biology, not biography.
Biography means writing a book about some guy who paid you to write about him... Kinda pretentious. Or a book written by a guy about himself, which is even more pretentious.
Biology is the study of life and living organisms
Just imagine I wrote something witty and funny here....

no, the hands are on crotch-lenght when stretched, where do you think the hands are when they are stretched, at the toes? it's a slight geuss after your proportions on making the legs longer.

The tip of the middle finger should be somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 way between hip and knee.
The wrist should come at the cusp (lowest part of the pelvic bone...) of the crotch.
The legs should take up approximately one half of the height.
The feet should be one-head long.
Just imagine I wrote something witty and funny here....

I suggest you shut the hell up you have no idea what your even talking about all you've done is flame, spam, and increase the rate of retards here on the internet, Your thoughts on proportions are laughable and so is your theory to back them up. Now back to the thread.
I like the pic the legs should be a bit longer and the ears are kinda funky but other than that it's great.

here are some added stuff to increase the realism.
; take in note that i drew this with mouse, and drawing with mouse is horri-fucking-ble. but i think it still came out pretty nice.

When I reach down with my arms, my palms come across my crotch. With my arms at my sides straight, my palms are just below my hips. I dunno about your character though, I'm fairly short for my age.

Its not bad, it just looks more of a cartoony anatomy rather than realistic. It really helps to draw out a skeleton using stick lines and circles first. From what I can see it just needs to be stretched a bit more. The legs definitely need to be a bit longer, but overall it is pretty good. If you get the chance to take a figure drawing class I would highly recommend it, no matter what level of artistic skill you are at, it is a worthwhile experience. Keep at it and you will see improvements in no time!
