this was my entry for "Chow 20 JKnight" in case you missed it. I know he doesn't look like a jedi, probably because i've never seen a star wars movie. let's just say he's an old strong dude with 2 flashlights looking for stuff in the woods.

This one's hilarious. You have a good sense of humor and you seem to easily transition from one style to another. Keep it up.

I love this picture! The cropped view actually looks great by itself, like a panel from a horror comic book. Really skillfully painted, you're a very versatile artist.

Hmph.

do you sell your work? You could totally sell your work! This stuff doesn't belong on newgrounds! It belongs in a GALLERY! What are you still doing here?

if you don't have anything interesting to say, don't say anything at all

that's the character's name. it's "Dulle Griet" backwards. Dulle Griet is this old painting of a female soldier who goes insane, and goes down to hell and kills everything. pretty bad-ass.
Thanks for the feedback.

Here's a fun little project for you to do with some art buddies.
I recently got a letter through snail-mail from one of my friends who is a printmaker. She had made a little ink drawing with a note that said "draw something on here and send it back".

I drew the two people with the crazy hair. I assume this will go back and forth until we finish the card.

p.s. 100 posts go me

I absolutely love the artwork you've brought. The shading is spectacular, and the shadowing is as well. I love your individual style throughout all the pictures. Keep it coming <3

So I entered a piece into the calendar thing. I started it the day before it was due, then I slept on it, and completely changed my idea.
I could've gone the 'eye-candy' ultra super rendered route, but I took the "We want to see your style!" comment on the rules page to heart, and thus is why I made Bitey the way I did. I didn't have time to add some things I wanted, like foliage, plants, etc, but you get the idea. The jpeg in the forum looks terrible so hit up this link to see a good quality version & my first idea:

also, i'm finally in the thick of a new flash toon. i'm trying to keep my progress posted here.

if you want to be an illustrator you've gotta take all the jobs you can get. this was a side project i did for a local children's center. it's a 12-page comic book about a superhero who makes sure kids are being safe. i got the samples today. hooray.

Wow these kind of comics were always so cheesy. XD
Way to go dude, I think it's all great! Keep it up!
I love how you draw in many different styles, a lot of artists have difficulty with that. (Like me... XP)

You drew this one very well. The only thing I notice that is a little awkward is the left foot (the closest one).

Good job on all of your drawings.

Reallu excellent and inspiring stuff. This is what I aim to draw like in the future. You'd be the ideal partner to work with for the cartoon I have planned. May I ask how and where you learned your craft. I need to know what's a good art course to take in order to draw and paint reallistically. Thanks. Keep on posting your stuff.

as always, thanks for the comments.

my advice to you is to take all of the figure drawing classes you can. those classes, without a doubt, are what helped me the most. there's nothing harder to draw than the human figure, so once you get that down, you got it made in the shade. and experiment as much as you can. even when you find a medium you like (paints, charcoal, pens, etc) force yourself to try something new. same thing goes for techniques for rendering, linework, etc. then, you can combine all those techniques and make awesome, exciting stuff without pigeon-holing yourself into a single style (anime, for example)! and sketch a lot! i come across a lot of cool new ideas to represent stuff by accident, just by doodling. so that's my lecture.

if you ever want to collaborate on a toon, just let me know. i'm always open to cool projects!
