Ok, I know most ppl on NG feel the 10 comandment thing should prolly be removed. I am one who is against it however. Anyway I feel either way the supreme court has too much power. There is no one over them and they are in for life. So I am giving this petition link.
This is the citizen act http://www.afa.net/petitions/citizensrights.html
This is the petition for it http://frwebgate.access.gpo.go...106_cong_documents&docid=f:hd214.106

There was another topic for this, I think. Can someone give me a brief overview of this 10 Commandments thing?

The whole thing is over freedom of speach and separation of church and state. This judge used his own money to place a statue of the 10 commandments in the courts loby. Ppl are mad cause it is in a federal building. They say it shouldn't be there cause the state has to separate itself. But on the other side, ppl say it should be there because the state is not paying for it. I thikn of it as free speach. But that is me.

Yes, it should be removed because it is seeming affiliated with the federal building. But I think people are more upset simply because it is there rather than because of the values it promotes.

This is a fucked up effort by Congress to exceed the checks and balance system America was founded on by trying to strip proper power away from the judiciary branch.
