Scan art into flash 2007-12-28 00:01:56 Reply

How easy is this? I have an artist who does great work on paper but has never used a computer in his life, is it easy to have him write what I want on paper and then scan it? Should I use a certain type of paper?Any techniques? Is this possible with animation as well? Just have him draw the different key frames I need then put it into the flash and manipulate it a little?

Thanks

You would need to trace the picture you scan in flash, but that shouldn't be too hard. As for animating, it is harder but its really just doing a lot of drawings. It would be a good idea to just scan keyframes, but you would still have to "fill in the blanks" in between manually (unless you just want to do a motion tween)

If you are reading this then you must be really bored.

I've heard of some people who use this (for black and white): draw black on clean, white paper. scan it (alternatively use a camera with flash) and load it on the computer. adjust the contrast until most of the background is plain white, then import to flash and trace bitmap. delete the white parts.

well, i don't know if this work but you can give it a try.
