Full Length Flash Feature

I think it would be kewl if someone made a Full Length Flash Film about newgrounds' tankman or something or just like a 4 part stick figure feature i think it would be pretty kewl

I think that would exceed the file size limit..... this is why people make short series... like BEEBO and Tommorrows nobodies. If you watch all the series.. i'm sure it would last close to an hour. I mean... some people can make professional looking work on here... but it would be very time consuming to make a full hour flash.

yeah theres a few problems you'd run into ... flash becomes really unstable as the file grows and becomes more complex... also an hour long flash movie at 24fps may not even be that doable, flash has a frame limit of 14 thousand (?) frames per scene... you'd have split that into many scenes and your swf would be so monstrously large that no loading screen ever made would give it enough justice.

I guess if you made it 7fps no music and like just stickmen using one or two colors you may be able to squeeze an hour into a single scene and have it be semi manageable in file size... dunno how awesome that sort of movie would turn out to be after all is said and done tho

One of the good things about Flash cartoons is that they are quick and enjoyable, I usually don't like really long flash movies, I tend to get bored.

But by all means make your own full length movie.

that is why i said 4 part when i first started this topic not a whole file dude that is impossible that would take hours to load probably

Well I could be wrong but a good use of loadMovie and streaming could work to your benefit. I mean say you split it into many files and load one at the start and more as you go along. Depending on how intestive each section was it may technically be possible to keep waiting for loading down a bit.

Still pretty bad idea. If you are good enough to make a full length feature film in flash you should probably be movie into new mediums.
