Did this over the course of three days (yes, I'm slow). My best work yet imo.

Excellent work! All you need is a big medieval battle going on behind him or something, and it'll be perfect! Also, his left (our right) hand needs a little touchup, but that's it!

No, because then it wouldn't make sense that he's looking at us. Not everything needs super epic.

As far as criticism goes, I like the coloring but his arms are too messed up. It's like that in a lot of your drawings. Your character has one arm longer than the other. And I don't like dwarves. Little buggers can go get stomped =\

I have to agree with the other people, the assorment of random directional brush strokes (On the helmet especialy) suggest that this ALL isn't done in flash 8, the line work may of been, but the colouring in my personal opinion is deffinatly PS material.

You can make the recent flash brush make a symbol with every stroke.
So if you alpha it out, you'll get that effect.
With each over lapping symbol.

then how hughe is the filesize on the .fla? Why wont you upload a .swf anywhere to show us? that would be the most obvious way to really show you're not lying

Yeah well gimp suck ass, and not all people can afford photoshop. Just stop fucking flaming him for christs sake. Also, what help could come from him showing you the SWF. he could just import the picture he drew into flash and then publinsh it as a swf. AND even if you is lying, who cares? Does it really make a difference? Just tell him what you think about the QUALITY of the picture and move along. That being said, It looks good, but the gand is at an uncomfortable angle and it looks kind of flat.
