My First Flash Animation

Okay, so I made my first flash animation and uploaded it to Newgrounds. Thought I might ask you guys here what you think about it. - So you could give me some advice or something. Anyway, here it is.

there's too little action, the only thing that's moving is the little stick guy. if you made the guy fight with other sticks or interact with the environment, it'd be better.

Uhm... Okay. I understand that there is not so much very action, but the sticks did interact with the environment quite a lot. Hanging, climbing, this and that... But yeah, I guess there could be more of that. And I'm not exactly sure where I should post the topic... It is flash and flash techniques so, yeah, I guess this is the right place...

oh for u ppl who dont watch it all, its not on loop. maybe it is but theres more than one guy and one background, its obvios when its done.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that! The whole flash is in fact 1:25 minutes long. :D Thanks for that Gangsta-Guy!

hmm, not actually as bad as I was anticipating. at least the animation is decently fluid. I'd suggest making the physics a little more realistic though (no floating in air, he absorbs impacts when he lands, swings from things he grabs, etc.

Okay, I get it! So, all in all, I should make the animation more smooth. More frames, realistic physics etc. + Add some sounds. Okay... So where could I get some sounds? Are there any websites that offer sounds that can be used in Flash?

No offense but it doesn't belong on Newgrounds. You will improve but it takes time and practice. Newgrounds is a site where they only let good stuff in. Here is a few tips:

Color background, add music and sound effects put the Newgrounds preloader in the beginning of it. You might just add color and audio and re-submit it and it might not get blammed.

i liked it, but i think the scenary and background need some deph and colour. With that and some fluid movement u could make a nice slap dash kind of thing.

Hey, I made a new one! This time the animation is smoother (Hopefully) and theres a background. I also added some other stuff to make it more interesting. Haven't added any sounds, although I have found a few interesting on Flashkit. The reason is because... What do you care anyway? The .wmv version that I uploaded to YouTube has a song playing in the background. I'm gonna post up a link to it once it's uploaded. You gotta see it. The way the song starts and stops playing is... PERFECT! Yeah, anyway...

its easier to kill sticks, and i find random violence on stick men is funnier than on people, but for everything else let the sticks go.

Okay, okay... I know, I know... I said I'm gonna work on it for days and days to come... But I just got this marvelous idea that could be done in "just" 4 hours. So... I did it. Before uploading it to the portal, I want you to see it. Please tell me what you think! It has sound, much more frames, and it isn't just random stick killing. Well... It is... BUT! With a SECRET ingredient! You gotta see it and tell me what you think! :D

Not bad at all. The music gives it a good chance, try adding some sound affects though (just for extra luck)
