What could be so painful about the dentist?
everything
They do their best to make sure that our teeth are clean and in good shape.
by poking your gums with a with a needle until it bleeds
And the dentists themselves are so nice!
nice enough to give out guilt trips about not flossing
Ok time for the point. As I spelled out for you, going to the dentist is not one of my favorite things to do. It's not that I fear the needles or the instruments they use. It's more of a fear of the people who are using those tools. I swear almost every dentist I've seen must never of had a baby, because they do not know the meaning of gentle care. Some are just downright sadistic.
I do enough to take care of my teeth but it's never enough. They always get me with the flossing shtick. "It seems you don't floss regularly" And of course my answer everytime is 'No I don't' This prompts the dentist to feel justified in manhandling my mouth for the next 30 minutes to an hour. And I don't dare lie to them because I know that if I did, they would call bullshit on me and I don't want to think of what they would do to me if they had a lie built on top of not flossing. They'd probably just start shoving a chainsaw down my mouth.
And then we have the gum situation. Thats where they go in with that needle and start poking at my gums until they start bleeding, which prompts the 'your gums are in bad shape too' Well shit, I didn't know that everyone else's gums were strong enough to withstand being poked at multiple times by a needle. What else can they withstand? Bullets? Why don't you just shoot me in the mouth, it can't be much worse than what you're doing right now.
