My future sacrifice as a tax payer 2007-12-22 23:20:12 Reply

I'd like to know, in the opinion of all of those who beleive that it is just and good, that such steps are taken for the good of all man kind, lets say i become a salary earner of about... 200,000 dollars a year. [I have high hopes :P]

Please note, that while some parts of these may sound strange [Hint hint] All of the information i give is infact factual in the below paragraph;

That's considerably more than the Average wages, but luckily, myself, being born into a family of aristocratic nobles [The Son of a police officer who was the son of a bricklayer [My late grandfather] As well as the son of a secretary who was the daughter of a maid and a tailor [my grandmother] and an immigrant to the united states who spoke no English and became an electrician, and then began working on naval technology] I can say whole heartedly that i was very fortunate to be born into a pre-inherintly wealthy family. Where i go to one of the best public schools in the country.

This couldn't have been done with the extreme taxes placed on my family of aristocratic nobles, and as such i ask you...

[Hypathetically]

Being a good, contributing american, i would like to know... When i am an adult, i will asume that my country made the correct descision in electing a hillary clinton or a barack obama who made the proper steps towards a more socialistic America...

What percentage of my money should to to the government? [Taxes] And further more...

1) When full amnesty is given, how much should i contribute towards ensuring that any immigrant in the united states receives free high quality health insurance and or care
2) How much should i contribute towards ensuring that every other non-immigrant gets the same good service.
3) How much money should i pay to ensure that Immigrants don't have to worry about the horrors of being a first generation immigrant with hardly any knowledge of the English language, and poor housing as a result of unskilled labor [As opposed to my grand parents who came to the country with At least a generously rich portion of a few cents in their pocket, and slept on luxurious Dirt-like floors in a small, cozy cottage. [Wait... that was REAL dirt, sorry]
4) How can i help, with my vast sums of wealth and influence as an upper middle noblemen, ensure that the 'undesirable' jobs that Illegal immigrants would want that other Americans don't, and make it so that they are less undesirable.
5) How do i help to stop buisnesses from raising prices when governments raise minimum wages, for the fairness of all peoples, [since it minimum wage was clearly meant to be a job where one could raise a family of... 6? and get along just fine]
6) How can i help to ensure that Illegal immigrants aren't discriminated against on the basis of their ethnicity and culture? as well as language, like my grandfather. [ who was treated so liberally that he changed his name so people wouldn't know he was Italian and suspect him of being in the mob]
7) How can i help to promote Progressive Humanistic teachings in schools so that i can be blessed with sermons by my children on the inferiority of religions and the need for their obvious government reduction, even if my possible wife is a follower of such horrible religion.

I was gonna write more... i had them in my head, but i'm tired.

Either way... let me say this, i am full on ready to accept the challenges as a fortunate well to do American, to help pave the way for a better future, as is my duty.

Way too lazy to go through all that, just one question...why is it your duty to do all that shit?

The real thing is it isn't your duty. My friend go read Civil disobedience by charles theroue (I know I spelt his name wrong) It really is true about the american government.
It is the government duty to appease us and we pay them to keep them pleasing us. By supporting the government with taxes you are telling them they are doing a pretty good job

This wasn't a thread made for people who don't beleive in liberal tax policies. FYI.

I used a similar discussion type like this on begoner, he didn't respond when i talked about wat 70% taxes mean.

I see that you're not very wealthy.

It is a fact of life that the higher one goes up the ladder in wealth, the less taxes they pay.
If your earning $200,000 dollars you should have an accountant.
They will offset what they cost you by what you are legally entitled to not pay.
The Goverment will never tell you where you can legally defer, offset , or invest to save yourself a major tax burden.
They are only too happy to take as much as they can.
You should look at that underhanded (in my opinion) tactic & use the knowledge that experts have that can really help you in the short term (this years tax bill) & more importantly; help you in the long term (say when you retire) by using tax free investments, as well as other investments through out your working life.

I always think that when people try to conceal their actual argument they should do so in an understandable way. To be honest, I think that the typo "Hypathetically" pretty much sums up the whole of the original post.
