Think of it. . .whyn must we have wars? why can't muslims, jews, christians, catholics and every other religion find some way to get along, we are all ruled by ine god so why should the Muslims make a big deal about it? if your god is our god and thier god is our god then whats the point of fighting for relgious beliefs, and if its not about relgion its about money, power, land, oil, women,or political control, none of those matter, when you die, you can't take none of that with you, only the fame, so in reality there is no point in fighting wars that cannot be won, for example, wars such as the War on Terror. . .

We fight wars for resources, we do not have all we need, so instead of buying it from another country we destroy them and take it. Greed is in human nature, but looking particularly at America here some countries have a war economy. Many jobs in America are military, meaning that for the economy to survive wars are required. In terms of religious wars it is a battle of principles, and ideology, which are flawed in all religions; which mean that one religion points out these flaws, claiming they are now better, there flaws are pointed out, and wars between rival religions are started. The concept of God may be the same, but there are many differences. Take for instance Muslim and Christian, Muslim's have an approach of tradition, and often incorporate violence, which is the absolute opposite of a Christian approach, it was a war of ideology.

War and hate is about as human as love and peace, and I think it's about time people make peace (no pun intended) with war.

People give religion too much credit for wars. That's just one of the reasons for which.

Hmmm, no we shouldn't have wars.
But think about this for a sec, all the things they do for their country, and their God,
some of the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions.
Example: Hitler did help rebuild his country, he wanted to make his people a dominant power, but as we all know he started the holocaust and killed millions of jews.

Religion may not cause all wars, but in many cases it is used to prolong and justify them.

I second that. Wars based on power and greed obsessions split humans deeply, even worse that the whole world starts to think that some certain people are too violent to walk on this planet... no wonder that everybody is struck with paranoia that they just wanna wipe out a whole people, and thats how the human nature goes on in its eternity. In the end, everybody will start realizing how fucked up the whole thing was, because they blindly lent their trust to killers and victimized everybody else who stood in their way for their own illumination throughout the world.
Humans are guilty in everything no matter what. If global warming will be the death of us all, then let it be. If we cant help it, then we know that it was all our fault. Everything will be dealt with at the end. Caskets closed, case closed.

If there were no religions, we would find other ways to prolong and justify wars. War is inevitable, and there are always those who poke the flames.

And if there were no explosives, we'd find other ways to kill each other. That doesn't change the fact that it's far easier to kill people with guns and bombs, than it is with sticks and stones.

If there were no technological advances such as modern weapons, then we would still be warring tribes, pretty much. And warring tribes found ways to make other tribes extinct, somehow.

Wars are what animals of the same specie do to each other when they are competing over resources of survival...
Except the animals don't organize themselfs into efficient killing machines, develope weapons, poisons, and tactics to eliminate foes in the most pratical manner at the time.
Because they don't have the mind to do it.
War isn't unique to humans, what's unique to humans is they're ability to do it more efficiently.

Break society down into mere kinships, and you still have conflict, it's human nature, the reason why we have wars is because we want to be dominant, we want to be right, and we want to live a life in pleasure. Not everybody can live a life in pleasure, so people fight for it, and it becomes physical.
