I got a garbage whistle!

How did this happen?! I even can't beleive it!

I had bronze a few hours ago, and now garbage?? I didn't even flagged much reviews today, how could I possibly have been downgraded so?

And if this is related, I want an explanation, because here is a copy-paste of the reply I got from absent:

Well, absent pretty much said all that can be said. Whether I'm more strict that he is. I don't know. We are different people, but with same outlook and instructions on reviews. We do have a general consensus on most things, just things with loop holess or uncertainity is what seperates us as an individual mod. What one person might delete, another might let stay. Same with the forum mods, what one person might delete, another might just lock. More subjective (opinionated) than objective (based on facts) in those instances.

However, I have been clearing with negative whistle points as of late because some reviews shouldn't have been flagged. I've always said, read the review and not just assume someone pointed it out in the abuse thread than it must be abusive. They are some lists people are posting that majority of the reviews are decent and legit.

No, before flagging SBC flash's reviews I had a silver whistle, and they where absolutely abusive. The only mistake I had was flagging the one's from SBC's flashes, and that's when I got the bronze.

After that I got away from those reviews and started flagging normally again. My guess is that they cleared the rest of the reviews I flagged from SBC's, but as you can see in absent's reply, he did those without penalty.

Maybe another mod cleared them and did it with the penalty? =(

I know that, and I didn't flagged based on that. I don't blame you for clearing them, because absent told me why those get cleared. What I didn't knew is that you clear those with negative points.

Dammit, I'll never put a hand on another of those fan reviews again.

Now, I just hope I didn't dig my hole too much that I can't get out...

That's exactly what happened with WWW-FLASHPORN-COM's reviews. He left more than 150 abusive reviews, and everyone was flagging them like crazy. But what happened was the mods started clearing all of them, not deleting it. That brought a lot of user's whistle points down, including mine. I went from silver to garbage in just 10 minutes. That happened like a month or so ago, and I'm still far away from retaining a normal whistle after flagging a lot of reviews :(

...If you frequent that thread as much as i do... (and i know you do) you'd know that he's actually a regular poster in that thread. I'm sure that thread is the REASON he has garbage whistle right now... due to users not being clear on what's 'abusive' and submitting it to that thread, claiming it is. Just because someone says it's abusive, doesn't mean it is. You can't flag everything posted in that thread, or else you're gonna lose some points... gotta be able to pick out the right ones ;)

Since you're at garbage, you're gonna need to flag for quality, not quantity. Only flag the most abusive of the abusive, and hopefully you can return to normal :)

I havn't been in that thread much lately or since l got my deity, l only go there to post a few links so l don't really know who and who's not a regular because l don't look at who's posting, l just look at WHAT they're posting..

Not really. I am pretty sure that I know what's abusive and what's not. I am at garbage because I saw a
lot of crappy one-liners in StrawberryClock flashes, but turns out they are ''acceptable'' in some cases...

So it's not because of Rage's thread.

Since you're at garbage, you're gonna need to flag for quality, not quantity. Only flag the most abusive of the abusive, and hopefully you can return to normal :)
