Lately I've noticed, when I do anything on the forums, people just see me normally.
But when I wright a review and somebody replies...
well they act like I'm a magical king.
Maybe it's because my sheer amount of reviews.
Or people just over react to reviews.
But my last response said the guy was honored.
I don't know NG but that sounds good to me.
What about you,
what's your replies generally like?

Reviews are a pretty pointless stat but if you wrote enough of them you could probabally get noticed. It'd be hard though seeing as there's only ever 2 'on display' at any one time.

Reviews aren't the most high-profile stat, but in my opinion, if you have a lot of good reviews, it shows that you are a respectable user, because you've taken the time to help out the flash authors on the site rather than just focusing on stats that only benefit yourself.

I don't get replies often, but most of the ones I get are pretty constructive, since my reviews are fairly large there's usually quite a bit to reply to. But most of the time, I don't even get replies, since my reviews are usually for the higher-name flash movies, the ones which have too many for the authors to bother to reply to them all.

Basically if you write more than 10 words in a review you can be pretty sure you're going to keep it unless your massively flaming someone...

Or saying something negative about something the Fulps and admins developed and submitted even if constructive will get your account deleted.

It annoys me when people don't respond to reviews. It's mainly the big-shots like Krinkels or TheSwain that don't bother, usually smaller flash makers (like me :-D) do. Do the big-shots think that we're not important enough to talk to, or do they spend all their time on their flash and only come on NG to submit (and collect awards), or is it that they are adults that have jobs, so therefore don't spend much time on NG?

Considering most popular flash artists are basement dwellers it's likely an arrogance thing... they get so much praise in a day they can pick and choose where it comes from...

I try to write long personal reviews for the flashes i write reviews for. I've had some responses saying things like "it's reviews like this that make me love posting my flash on Newgrounds". Makes me feel good inside :3 I hate people that try to stat-whore the amount of reviews they write, and leave no sort of personal feel to it whatsoever. CyberDevil writes 10,000 reviews, but he cranks them out, taking under a minute per review. I like to watch the flash once, and watch it again while I write the review, sometimes watching it for a third time. But sadly, just like everything else with this site, stat-whores will come through and ruin the fun; but I love writing a nice sincere review from the heart :3

There's a difference between having 1000+ reviews on a flash and about 20. I doubt they feel too cool for anyone.
