Anyhoo, welcome again to another installment of the Year End BBS awards, where we give out worthless awards to some of the best and worst posters of 2007. Here is how it works.
First off, you will fill out a name for each and every single category. If you only fill out one, two, or whatever, your post will be deleted and your vote will not count. If you can't think of a name for a certain subject, just put mine. (lol) But seriously, it's a pain in the ass when you're counting votes and certain things are left blank.
Secondly, when you nominate, be sure you keep the category you are nominating them for beside the person's name, otherwise I won't be able to tell what the fuck your nomination is for, and that just pisses me off and makes me want to ban you.
Try to base your nominations on someone who actually might have a shot at getting into the finals...there is no point in giving one vote to your alternate account, as only the top five or six vote getters make it to the final voting round. Conversely, if a person already has eight million nomination votes, they are probably making it to the finals, so maybe switch it up and throw someone else a bone.
Thirdly, if you want to talk about why you deserve to win biggest atttention whore, or why you don't think you deserve the biggest spammer award, don't post in here. This thread is STRICTLY for voting. I cannot emphasis that enough...if you post random stupid comments in here, you WILL be banned. By posting in this thread, you are agreeing that you've read the thread and you agree to the rules, so please don't be an asshole and post pointless shit in this thread. That should be saved for the DISCUSSION THREAD.
Remember too, this is the YEAR END awards, so don't just think about the last two months, try to think back over the entire year. (even though none of you will, it's good to say that)
Any further alterations that I may or may not forget will probably be updated on my userpage, but I'm not going to do anything crazy like add extra categories or whatever. Speaking of categories...
Without further ado, here are the categories:
Funniest User:
This category, I'd like to think is pretty straight forward. You should be nominating someone who, whenever you read their posts on the BBS, a "lol" icon appears over the top of your head, as if you were some sort of anime character incapable of expressing laughter in any form but emoticons.
Attention Whore:
Or as I like to refer to it as, the LOOKATMELOL award. Basically someone who does everything strictly for attention, when really you know that they are at home taking pictures of themselves in their full body mirror, sucking in their stomach trying to convince a bunch of guys that they have a six pack, when really, none of us care. Usually they post in a way that makes a person want to slap them. Or maybe I'm just getting old. ;)
Drama Queen:
Basically, an award for the people who blow everything out of proportion and make a mountain out of a molehill, to quote an old adage. Generally speaking, these people post in a thread, and get about twenty replies trying to fight with them, and they are more than happy to comply. Not the most mature people.
Never Logs Off:
The NEVER LOGS OFF award, for the person who throughout this year, whenever you'd pop on the BBS, you'd see their pretty little username beside the "users online" list. Without fail. I swear, I don't know when you people sleep.
I Miss You:
The award for some of our fallen comrades, who have either been lost to real life, or in some cases World Of Warcraft, never to be seen again. We want them to come back to nerdhood.
Best Artist:
THE BEST DRAWER. HEY, LET'S NOT LET STAMPER OR JOHNNYUTAH WIN. They have big enough cocks without this award. Bleh, if you want to nominate them, you can, but really, try to think of someone else to give some props to, k? K.
Master Creator:
The best creator of topics. These threads created by a person nominated for this award, should be pages and pages filled with LOLtactular content. Boring shitty posters, need not apply. Only for those who create awesome threads.
Rookie Of The Year:
Only rule, must have a signup date with the numbers 07 where the year thing is. Preferrably they should be awesome posters, but it might be a stretch this year. ;)
Most Improved:
As suggested by Earfetish, re: a competition on my user page, this award will go to the user who has improved their posting the most over the past year. Someone who you used to hate, but now they have really come into their own. (This award replaced the best story writer award, BTW, sorry writers. :'( )
Biggest Spammer:
Please don't nominate someone who only have 100 posts and spammed the BBS last week. I want someone who has at least over 1000 posts of pure crap over the last year. If you nominate someone under 500 posts, I will not be very impressed. Basically, these people post pure drivel, they picture spam, they post for the sake of getting post count plus one and not really adding anything to the BBS.
Most Overrated:
A person who consistantly gets props as being super cool, yet, for whatever reason, you can't see how they are even still actively posting on the BBS. A chance to let your jealous side come out, so to speak.
Most Underrated:
Someone who really impresses you, yet no one knows who the fuck they are. Please only include people over the fast year, and don't nominate people who have already won it, DO YOUR RESEARCH. ;)
Worst Moderator:
The mods get two awards, worst and best mod. Worst mod is basically a chance for you to thrash someone who banned you unfairly, or someone who you're like, HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY A MOD YET I'M NOT?!?!?! It's really a blow to our egos to win this one, so let us have some accountability. ;)
Best Moderator:
Someone who you think is fair, does their job to the best of their ability and is responsible and seems like an awesome moderator. Pretty straight forward, it's a good way to give a certain lesbian mod an ego boost cause she always wins it anyway (but I didn't say that).
Worst Poster:
Basically your nomination again for someone who should be deleted from the BBS based on the year that they've had. Must have at least over 500-1000 posts, no nobodies allowed.
Best Poster:
THE GRAND-DADDY OF THE BBS AWARDS, this goes to the most awesome poster of the 07 year. You know what to do.
