Also, there's Banjo-Threeie in the making for the Xbox 360, since Microsoft bought out Rareware, Microsoft is making the game now.
Never played them, but crash bandicoot is basically the same.. right?

Yup. No news since it was announced, and after seeing some of Rares games on the 360, I'm sure it will be a let down.

Errr... errr... No.
Crash Bandicoot^6 = Banjo Kazooie

Viva Pinata is an incredible game.
Most of my memories of the Nintendo 64 involve Banjo Kazooie and it's sequel.
Yes, I love it.
I hope Gamera smites you for your wicked ways.

Hell no, Banjo-Kazooie is a free-roaming game, where in Crash, it's very linear.

And you use a bird for a gun. That shoots eggs. Out of its mouth.
Come on...Amazing.

ah ok, yeah.. crash is totally boring..
free roaming is better.
still, kids games.
no real interest.
The banjo games rock! I used to play them all the time when I was younger, in fact if I could get a decent N64 controller I'd play all my old N64 games.
those who know me have lots of class, those who don't can kiss my ass
loved em too, remember the giant shark, clank (I think) in Banjo-Kazooie, I remember I would get soo pissed off trying to release him, because I would always drown.
:ahh fun memories

It also farts them out.
Plus Banjo Kazooie is a million times better.

Drowning in video games always scares the hell outta me.
I hated the shark (the other one) that would attack you at the beach when you fell in the water.

Actually Rareware still makes the game, Microsoft just publishes it.

lol yeah, with the jaws type music
also i remember a cheat wishy washy banjo, but was it from the 1st game?

Well, some of crash games are similar, but generally no. Banjo has always been an adventure/platform game. Crash goes into racing and other genres.
Anyone remember the infamous stop n swap?

Read the thread, moron.
Awesome game, I spent most of my summer playing through that game. A lot of people say it's a Super Mario 64 ripoff, and there is some stuff that's pretty similar, although it's a fantastic game. The puzzle game that Gruntilda has, actually, just Gruntilda in general pisses me off though. Her constant half assed rhyming and stupid schemes drive me to the edge. Lots of humor and comedy all around though, ahh memories.
I'm still stuck on beating Gruntilda :(

I downloaded both games for my PC yesterday, to be honest, I like banjo tooie better. ¿remember a boss that was a big fish and you had to kill him oh man he was gtare!
hey.... how do I kill a giant crustacean that is in a beach in banjo kazooie?
Never played them, but crash bandicoot is basically the same.. right?
Oh yeah they are just the same thing. like julia roberts and Hale berry. yeah, equal in all aspects
Yep, played both, loved both, will want the third.
Banjo kazooie owns. I love all of it. My fav part of the whole game is that level where you walk accros lava and enter the hanted graveyard level. I also like getting turned into the walrus.
Treasure Trove Cove... or something like that.
Rusty Bucket Bay
Freezy Peak
Click Clock Wood (most epic)
Mad Monster Mansion
Bubblegloop Swamp
Clanker's Cavern
And not forgetting Mumbo's Mountain.
Any others?
DURR HURR
I was just thinking about them yesterday. I'd dig them out, if I hadn't given my N64 to my cousin.

Gobi's Valley!
And yeah, Banjo-Kazzoie was great game, one of my all time favourites. There was a hell of a lot to do on it and you could choose how you wanted to do things pretty well.

Run up to him after his claws stop snapping, jump, and Rat-a-tat his face. Do it three times, he will shrink into his shell. Enter the shell, and there will be some notes to collect, two small crabs, and a Jiggy.
Do a complete rotation on your longitudinal axis while following a helical path. (lol)
Best epic thread EVER.
Yeah I still have both of mine and they still rock. It's times like this I'm glad that I have a 360.
I don't know about you guys, but if there was any part of Banjo-Kazooie I hated, it was finding those FUCKING JINJOS.
Jinjo!....WEE!
