Female Presidents

So, it seems like all of a sudden, there will be female presidents all over the place. I think that the US will be the next one.

It seems like people are fed up with the same ol' system, and are voting for anything that looks different and seems honest. God knows that women are the most honest creatures in the world.

Anyway, I think it's great.

The hottest so far is Cristina Fernández de Kirchner from Argentina. I'd hit that.

Meh. Yulia Timoshenko was hotter. I mean, she still is, but she's no longer President.

Our particular experience, so far, has been... meh. Largely uninteresting, to be honest.

I was talking about her administration, though. She's been pretty lousy compared to previous presidents, although I do realize that it's because she was an unexperienced minion to begin with, not because she's a woman. In fact, the other candidate on the primaries for that coallition also happened to sport breasts and a vagina, and even though she was older and saggier she was much more capable.

Although CFK has no experience in the executive branch, she's been in politics since she was in college, and has governed with her husband; I think she's fit for the job.

Well, Bachelet was pretty much unrelated to conventional politics until the mid-90's. She was never elected to Congress or the Senate but she held a couple of Minister gigs during Lagos' administration. When the general public realized that she also happened to be the daughter of one of the martyrs from Allende's government, she got the little boost that she needed to be chosen as a candidate, even though seemingly the original plan was to have her as a stick-up dummy until Lagos could run for another election - which now seems unlikely.

Ah well. To be honest, she did strike me as a good candidate at first, too. And she's still doing it better than any of the shifty-eyed snakes on the other side could do, anyway.

Before that you have several English Queens...Cleopatra...

There's nothing special abotu a woman being president. In my opinion, women are just as capable as men in that position.

I don't mean to be sexist at all. I really do think that women seeking more power in the world is a really wonderful thing. But lets try to think about this. Some (NOT all women, that would be ignorant) are very, very unbelievably sensitive (some guys are too, I know) and may be unable to make certain descisions such as going to war (which is a good thing, but sometimes war is neccessary) And also (This really is going to sound bad) but 5 days every month depending on the age of the politician, they will be completely useless to the nation they are leading.

One would think that a woman who gets all bitchy and annoying about things would never manage to garner enough political successes to become a presidential cndidate, let alone get elected.

I wouldn't say it's Néstor Kirchner ruling through his wife as much as it's that husband and wife form a single biological entity. CFK could tell her husband to go fuck himself if she wanted to, but she won't because they basically share the same brain. It's like that episode from The Simpsons with the alien candidates - no one's "using" the other one because they're both the same.

Argentinean elections were a joke, but for a different reason altogether.
