I think that The Tankies is a good nickname, but you know, nicknames sort of form themselves over time through what users call them. Nobody at the Academy Awards decided in the beginning to call their gold eunuch Oscar. I saw you just call it the Xth Annual Newgrounds Awards and let the people dub the trophy what they will.

Also, I think the criteria for Movie/Game of the Year should be out of the 12 Movie/Game of the Months. That way it would be like a best of the best award.

Also again, if someone like Adam Phillips has the opportunity to be nominated for Movie of the Year through two flash, you should give them the choice of which of their own to eliminate off the bat, because voters would just be split between the two, and the most deserving guy might not win just because his votes were cut down the middle.

No, I don't that's very fair to the artists, some musicians on this site have spent a lot of time making a great mixture but not a lot of artists will use it for one way or another.

Although I must admit that you did do an excellent job organizing those lazy spacks on DailyToon 400. If only more collab organizers were as dedicated as you. 400 turned out great, and I still can't wait to see the second half :) You've done a great job being a leader for the past couple of seasons... now if only you were to stick around :/

Also after putting some thought into the name I decided I liked 'itzer' ending. Something silly like the "Golden Tankitzer Price Of Excellence" but that might be a little... too silly ;P

Well, I"ll try answering the question.

The trophy...DO NOT CALL IT TANKIES, sounds way to corny.
But it should have something to do with a tank or something about newgrounds...

As for the audio, most good audio songs have already been in games/movies *cough* CHOAZ FANTASY *cough* yet there are some that are very good that aren't in game/movies. I don't the audio needs to be in a movie/game. The author could make a flash, and it can have there audio in it. A real good audio clip maybe in some shitty game/movie and still get nominated.

But, how will the nominees work? Will the staff choose it, or will we all vote on it. I'm just a little afraid of voting since someone can abuse it by making 50 alt accounts and vote.

ooo btw this is a problem that could easily be remedied by bringing back the time limit voting system. even just forcing the user to vote only after they've clicked "watch movie" would be enough. as it is right now, the portal is a haven for stat whores, voting on under judgement stuff based on the title and description alone. essentially the only flashes that truly get noticed or even actually viewed are the ones with characters that are either from videogames or seen in the flash portal banner.

I like Tankies because it should immediately be able to be related to NG.
Shermans is good, but it's not really that NG related.

I was thinking maybe the Flashies, but the award IS a Tank, so that may not work.

This is a very difficult category... If there will be one audio award, maybe it'd make more sense to make the category "Audio artist of the year" instead? Then it will be more easy to take into concideration various details (amount of songs, song qualities overall, usage of songs in flashes...).

see above reply. If it's for one song only, then it could make sense to find a song that have made itself known from alot of flashes, but only if the song itself have been customly created for the flash, othervice the flash author would have just found the song, picked it because it fit the flash. That would encourage audio artists to collab, but it won't give the flash-authors any extra "OMFG GOTTA COLLAB WITH AUDIO ARTIST" feel, i belive.

I jumped on-board long before I knew flash could make money. And yes, I graciously bestow my approval on you and all NG-dom.

I think Poxpower should win for best game art. I know I'm biased cuz we've worked together, but producing 100% custom-made (well-done) pixel art for games is no easy task and deserves serious recognition.

The Reason that the song should be included in the flash is because it gets more views and representation for it. A Great song is a song that someone can listen to and it tells a story, not just D&B syncapation. OR a song that can generate the overall mood of the flash. That is great music.
