She will respect you for that, and hopefully open up in return. The more honest and open you are the closer your relationship will get, and the more likely you are to keep her. yes this was a crucial point i learned in my last relationship, it's really hard to determine whether or not bryony is infact happy or upset, she's a tough girl, doesn't show her emotions. sometimes, i can see it, but sometimes i don't try to help because i don't want to upset her further, i'd rather her be confused at why i'm not helping her than upset because of something i've said.

that's actually the best and most open advice i've ever heard from someone. this is the one thing that i have never tried with a girl, i guess it won't hurt to start giving it a shot now to be honest. thank for this, it's really appreciated.

That would be a big no no, but not exactly what I meant- you don't want to scare her or make her think you feel more for her than she does for you. Being over the top and clingy gets annoying very fast, and everyone needs their own space. She should know that you really care about her just by the way you act around her/look at her, you don't have to say it every 5 minutes etc for example. Also no need for big romantic gestures all the time- small things every now and then count for a lot more (and in a way the less often they are the more special they will be)- side note, the corny chocolates/flowers stuff works, but the best thing is to get something that has personal meaning to her- doesn't matter what. A book, a poster, a stuffed animal, anything. A $5 present can be worth more than any fancy night out etc.

The honesty point I made may help her let her emotions out a bit. Everyone has their worries and fears, things that make them upset- if she wants to open up be understanding and listen, help if you can, but normally just being someone to talk to is enough. If she doesn't then don't push it, she will when the time is right. Mind reading definitely helps though...

Maybe that was a bit unfair on her, we were together a year and that was the only negative in that entire time. I felt about her what you feel for your girl, and she taught me a lot about myself, made me who I am today. She never did that again because I told her how stupid it was- honesty! She took that to heart and was always open and honest herself after that.
