I saw on TV a while ago that Disney is just now started allowing Disneyland employees to wear their own underwear to work! Appearently the corperation didn't wash the issued underwear as well as they said they did, and some employees contracted "diseases" from the used undies!

That's disgusting! I can't belive that their employees have the ability to wear their OWN underwear? I mean I thought this was AMERICA! Land of the free, home of the brave! And now we're letting empolyees of an american corperation chose on which underwear to use? that's wrong! ( < sarcasim )

If it was land of the free... we wouldn't be wearing any underwear.

It's probably a reference to commandos being like daring and them being more "free" then most army units ;)

Shouldn't the employees be able to wear their own underwear anyways?

What is this country coming to? What's next? Employees being allowed to use their own toothbrushes? (lots more sarcasm...)
Walt Disney would be ashamed! (That, however, isn't...)

Here's the an article found on http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/thedailyshowwithjonstewart/dailyshow_ enter_061101.jhtml about this topic.
After almost two months at the negotiating table, the workers who play characters such as Mickey Mouse and Cinderella at Walt Disney World have won an important concession. No, you still have to vomit in the mask if you can't get out of public view fast enough...but at least now the chunks will slide down onto a pair of underpants you washed yourself.
The change in underwear policy came after workers complained about receiving Disney-assigned undergarments that were stained or smelly. In addition, there have even been three cases of costumed workers getting pubic lice or scabies during the past two years, a condition previously thought to be unique to the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Now under a tentative contract between Disney and the employees' union, workers will be assigned individual undergarments, which they can take home each night to clean themselves instead of relying on Disney launderers. Employees say sometimes it can take up to an hour to hand wash all the magic out of their underpants.
Officials claimed that all the undergarments were washed in hot water, but anyone who's ever stuck a finger in the "It's a Small World" boat canal will tell you it's tepid at best.
A Disney spokeswoman, and you can imagine the months of intense passive-aggressive training required to earn that title, refused to comment on the new contract provisions, stating, "we don't conduct our negotiations with the media, only at the negotiating table," adding, "if Disney wanted to make a statement about this, we'd buy your network," she added.
