Grapics, groups, etc. are allowed, but not overused if you see what I mean. You can't have several movie clips in the screen at a time. It must at least LOOK like it's made without them...

lol, and you're not allowed to have movieclips with lots of layers either, right? :) I have some musical recommendations. if youre looking for some cool experimentalish sound, go with something like the postal service, I recommend sleeping in, recycled air, or brand new colony. If it turns out to be a shorter collaboration, using something by Of Montreal, if you've got itunes check out their CDs, hissing fauna, are you the destroyer? is a really good album, sink the seine would be IDEAL if the collab ran short.

Lol.You can do it,but when you put more stuf on the screen you won't be able to motion tween only one object. one layer sucks,eh? :P

this is a good idea, but it's flawed. You can make any movie no matter how many layers were used, into one layer by exporting it as a swf. then importing the swf. into a new FLA. and taking it out of it's movieclip. All of the stuff will automatically be compressed into one layer.

Son of a bitch! Why didn't i think of that earlier? however,I think by doing that people will miss the point of the collab - animating in a specific theme/style which represents a challenge. I've been busting my ass drawing about 1000 frames for now ( about 900 keyframes). It wouldn't be the same if I used many layers. This way is more exciting =D

If they import a SWF., Marky's gonna know - it comes into Flash as some bmp. sequence type thing, which can easily be recognized.
