for the beginning don't use a bass synth pick or make a lead as when the second bass comes in they fight each other.

as for adding more i would say try some different synths because they don't work to well in this remix add more of the original song and add melody's made by you to give it a remix feel.

Oh and one more thing try to make the song sound different add variation to catch the listeners attention.

The thing is: I'm really happy with the raw material I have created so far, but I've listened to this track so often now that I can't really judge anything anymore... I have no clue where to add variation or where to maybe add a different sequence. Also I'm feeling insecure about the lead synth.. Well I mean the synth thats supporting the actualy lead synth.. starting at round about 1.20....

I was just curious to see if this doodle has any potential. basically I formulated the chords/melody/beat from scratch. It is definitely far from completion, but I just want to see if anyone thinks I should progress with this, and add vocals as well. It is a remake of an old song from the 60s...or maybe 50s. I dunno. Anyway, if you'd like to see me try to progress this into a pop song, let me know with a pm or reply. The first 16 measures are all I really care about....most of the rest is either very incomplete or looped. Will add the dressings and stuff later on.

Overall I like the track, it has great potential and sounds nice already.

Here are my notes:

- The ambient synth that starts appearing at 30 seconds should get have the volume turned up. Its a great sound but its very faint most times its used

-The techno kick sound at 1:40 should be repeated until the tone change at 1:55

-The techno beats that come in at 3:00 should be introduced sooner at 2:27 when the main melody falls off

-maybe add a heavy kick to the main parts

Overall I really like it, please post and updated version when you add to it

Help!

I'm really excited about this track I'm working on and it's really close to being done... but I'd love some advice on if anything sounds a little off (there's an FX error in the intro that's too loud, I can fix that but idk how it happened).

Anyways, just looking to see if anyone thinks I should do or change anything up.

Sorry for the doublepost... Revise, your track is pretty smooth and constant in it's tone. In my opinion i would have liked to have heard the keys come in much earlier (perhaps after the ambient lead up) and the midsection seems like it might sound more complex with a change in bpm or a drop... but that depends more on the genre your going for. overall, good job

I really like the general concept of the track, and the sounds your using flow well together. I would really like to hear more meat. The majority of the song consists of more ambient sounds while the heavy sections are nice but scarce. Please repost the finished version when your done

Yeah I was going to wait to do a full master of the track until I felt it was truly finished. I am really hoping for some advice on what I could add to the track.. But it seems people just want me to hurry up and make it sound like sex.

Not completely finished with this yet... maybe 80% done? idk, I just don't know what to add at this point without taking away from the flow ive already created.

I liked it a lot! It sounded a lot like the song when you have to shoot Skull Kid's hand to get the Ocarina back in Majora's Mask. And it also had a Wario Land 4 vibe to it. (when you have the key and have to run back to the beginning)

Hey :)

Somehow when it comes to producing dubstep music i feel pretty confident about the intro, but when it comes to the drop / bass part, i have no clue about how to make it fit to the intro. Please leave me some feedback on how to make a sick drop! any thoughts and links to tutorials / music theory are very welcome :)
