-put up a demo of what you can do (accents? voice levels like high, medium, and low? age, like old, teenage, adult, young, childish? monster voices? specific voices, like announcer voices or narrator voices? the list goes on.)

-look for auditions in the Voice Actor Wanted thread. record the lines if there are any and send it to them through e-mail or any other way the director wanted.

-that's about it. don't be afraid to act out! that's the problem with a lot of people. they are too afraid to sound cheesy or being too loud so they become really timid and sound unrealistic or bored. shout if you have to, cry if you have to, laugh if you have to, etc.

Well said Snowfender. Everyone needs to break out of there shell and really put either foot foreward. Sure you may sound different, but VA is tough to get the hang of. With a little practice, and lots of confidence (because without that, your voices will be empty, with no soul behind them), you can do anything you set your mind to. Just try. Whats the worst thing that could happen anyway?

Anyhows. Yes. im not AWESOME like everyone else here. but i got a few original ones up my sleeve i think. I am english too. so ideal for stereotypical english guys.
i host a puppet show at work so i am not afraid of loud performing. LOL. I cant scream in voices very well though.
I could impersonate lots of characters you might recognise. but i havent. just all voices made up. :D so they wouldnt have been heard on Newgrounds yet.
Also i can not sing that well. but i have tried. check out the demo.
It features 12 voices, split into 7 short sketches over a 3.38 period of time. including an ending with a song i composed, to demonstrate what little singing capabilities i have. Kinda new to Newgrounds but im a flash animator but more importantly a voice actor. My voice ranges from children around the age of 10 ish to older men; elders and such. I can also do silly voices as well as serious. I believe I can do any project given but i guess thats up to the givers lol
