I had a brain wave. What if only vets could post new topics? Then I realised if vet meant > lvl 10 I'd be excluding myself from making topics, as well as pyromaniac, bbr, and others what slipped my mind for now. How about posts then? But then I realised when people are new, a lot of the time the reason they post is to ask questions, mostly in where is/how to or the flash forum. Well how about... there could only be a cirtain number of new topics in an hour? But then I'd realise it'd become competitive and probably encourage topic creation rather than discourage it. And we would see an increase in revived topic. How about... uhm... anyone who makes a new topic for the first time gets voted on for the quality of their topic, and then if they get rated poorly they can never post a new topic ever again. Then I realised we were all n00bs once. And besides, it would still be possible that people get voted on who they are not what they posted. So how about... we have a team of users who go around a lock or delete topics based on their appropriateness? OMFG snap I'm right with you Tom I had that idea too about 6 months after you implemented it. Hey, what can I say? Great minds think alike! Except my idea is better cos I said teams not team. The current one is not kicking goals.
SCORE ONE FOR -ROLL- FOR MOD!!! OMFG JUST SO CRAZY IT MIGHT JUST WORK!!!!111
see this is the part where I pretend I have a 1337 sig but it's really just part of the message.

I agree with Format. I dont think it would be done because n00bs as you call them do indeed ask decent and tolerable questions, some helpful and some intriging. Also if you try to get rid of these peeps they might not submit their flash movies toi NG and we would be the ones losing out.

You are a vet of NG but with only 700 and change as far as post count you aren’t a vet of the BBS. Still a good idea though........... let the noobs read the damn FAQ for once. That's what it's there for.

oh no now you'll never be a mod. but things are on the up for me and my 2003 moderation campaign. yet people are still ignoring my platform - as ever. it seems the common man cannot grasp the entire message I deliver, only a small piece at a time. hey now plz re-read and understand I was actually saying how n00bs are best dealt with by moderators. then I made it about me. ignore the me part for now.
-ROLL- FOR MOD IN 2003. I PROMISE NO NEW TAXES OR NO NEW TAXING RULES. IN THE WAR ON DRUGS I WILL REMAIN IDLE BUT IN THE WAR ON N00BS I WILL REMAIN IDLE. IN FACT, I WON'T REALLY DO ANYTHING AS MOD. I JUST WANT TO SEE MY NAME IN GREEN AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH PAGE. THAT IS WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE -ROLL- FOR MOD IN 2003!!!!

What right have you to invalidate my candidacy? I think here on newgrounds we can see a microcosm of the legislature where those in power are unwilling to give it up and proceed to dispatch with anyone whom they see as a threat. Theoretically Democracy is for the people but effectively it becomes about those with the power.
Now I am one of low socio-economic NG users, so it is understandable you would want to exclude me from your position of priveledge, but I will fight you all the way good sir!! You cannot ignore the will of the people forever!

You give your vote to the emoticon campaign!
Well said -shock-. Instead of asking what the emoticon campaign can do for you, you should all be asking what you can do for the emoticon campaign.

First of all, the first amendment states religion, assembly, petition, press, and speech. You should all know that... but i could see why you wouldnt.
That does not come into effect in newgrounds....
And while there will sometimes be gay topics out there, you shouldnt really care and just ignore the topic forever. But i never cease to wonder why you call someone a n00b and spammer for asking what happened to strawberryclock, and yet when someone a few levels higher says he has a tuna collection its a golden post and should be replied to... millions of times with no point at all.
And finally, everyone shold have their say. Even if its something stupid, we have all been dumbasses once in a while, made a complete fool of ourselves, so just pull them to the side, and explain to them why they are being idiots.

As much of a chance as everyone else, meaning "no". I know you're just tryin to have fun and blahblahblah I'm a wet blanket, but seeing these campaign tags at the end of all these posts gets irritating.
Whatever, do your thing, it feels like 80% of the current regulars here irritate me anyway.
